What’s up Mr Bates. I’m brand new to video editing. Sorry for the long comment, I really don’t know how else to describe my question. I really don’t know the key terms to search for when it comes to this topic, the closest I found was the right effect but it was in adobe. Resizing and moving video clips while having 2 video clips at the same time. For example: If you were giving a tutorial and your face was in a box and Final Cut Pro was on the screen, it would be a smooth transition to have the full frame of your face, then move and resize the area top of the other video. Example: FULL SCREEN FACE……CROPPED SMALLER AND SHIFTED TO BOTTOM LEFT OF CORNER ON TOP OF OTHER VIDEO Anyways, great channel, keep up the excellent work man.

Hey there! I think you’re describing “Picture In Picture”! I have a great plugin for that - The BEST Picture in Picture PLUGIN for Final Cut Pro! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3qxgGOcZ6Zggck You can also look up “Split Screen” on KZbin! That might also get you what you’re after

So, so cool, Dylan. Been using FilmConvert Nitrate for years, but never to this effect. Can't wait to try it out.

It's such a great plugin! I wish I had more opportunity to use it in my tutorial videos.

Did you miss colour correcting/grading a few clips at the beginning?

All the color correcting and grading was done through FilmConvert Nitrate! -- I'm assuming you're referring to the faded film look?

@@TheFinalCutBro Just talking about your A Roll. For example at 00:01 it looks perfectly fine, but at 00:31 it's like you've shot LOG and forgotten a LUT. Assumed this was accidental, all good if it was intended for the video:)

@@lntg Oh shoot! I hadn't even noticed that! Haha yes it looks like I missed the grade on that one. Usually I apply the grade from inside the multicam I am working with. But this time, so that I could use the overlay, and not have the overlay zoom whenever I did a jump cut on my video, I applied the effect on the main timeline. Looks like I missed a spot! Definitely need to quality check a bit more before exporting. 😂

@@TheFinalCutBro Ha! Well I'm kind of relieved in that case, thought I was being stupid 🤣Doubt anyone else noticed. And happens to the best of us aye. Once I missed a blatant typo that got past both myself and the KZbinr I worked for 🫣

As usual, I am in awe at your skill level. Another brilliant tutorial. I've added the quite expensive FilmConvert Nitrate plugin to my wish list but need to get the CEO's permission on this one (she is starting to express deep and serious concern about what she considers to be my serious plugin habit! She'll have to go!!!). Thank you again for all your hard work. You are a great inspiration to me and people all around the world and, of course, Scotland loves you!

I'll happily be your new CEO! 😂

9:20 “Sony, x model, because that’s the camera I shot with”… well, this is obviously a lie because this tutorial was shot with a Super 8mm camera. I mean, I see it
