Day one main anchor. You just can’t handle him once you get the advantage, and he doesn’t even need to kill your opponents characters to be insane. It does help for sure, but he has all the tools for anchor regardless.

Something I think is kind of important to mention, is that because there's the potential for him to set up his own plus frames for L/R 50/50s they're going to be a lot easier than a L/R that uses assists because with assists you have to execute your mixup with 2 frames of lenience, and also call your assist at the exact right frame. Meanwhile if the blockstun that is setting up the L/R is coming from your point character the timing of the blockstun is 100% consistent, so it's way easier to get that 2 frame window.

What L/R's are you doing that require 2 frame windows? Because that is certainly not for every L/R in the game. Trunks for instance is a L/R machine and unless the blockstun is like 18-20 frames none of his mix is a 2 frame link

Concept for a team: Baseku B, Baby B, Android 21 A (or some anchor character that can give Baseku his Spirit Bomb). If you can win the point war, you can switch to Baby and have Goku B to fuel a constant stream of C Assist calls with 22H. That way you get to take some neutral advantage off of Baseku B instead of essentially playing without an Assist.

Just to clarify, I think baby is ideally played mid with a point character that has a good defense assist. UI/Baby/21 or broly is a great example team. You want to win the point war and then dhc in baby to run away with the lead and call the defense assist, while also calling their dead assist. Hope this helped!

It's like they wanted to make Neutral: The Character. I'm super excited in a way that I didn't know I could be for any GT antagonist. I think they had the same thought process with Hit- does his high/low game really matter if he can consistently left/right you? Not only is it a less common mix to look for, but he can do it solo in the corner.

From the matches it looks like you can jump over the 6s ki blast if you time it right but if you are on the ground you can go for an air to air or a anti air and grab them from the air its really cool im gonna love using this character

He's 100% my kind of character. Very little mixup, way too many neutral tools and an Assist call special. There's even an autotimed corner loop for big damage. As usual, thanks for having the most analytical approach to looking at his kit. It's also funny that his 5M, the pressure reset normal, is also an autotimed frametrap button, like Vegito 5LL2L, so it should always keeps the mashing in check.

I think the only higher priority ki blasts are only the ones that hit and still come back, so 6S and 214S. The 5S are normal. Also they didn't mention this , but I hope that if the opponent ko-ed you ally first, Baby would steel his own assist until he kills an opponent character. I don't he can do it, which is a shame.

You take advantage of his neutral to get in and then K Buu gets Him his offense. I think Broly might be better since Broly anchor and Broly + K buu sounds like a better shell mid to late game.

Jonathan plays very reserved compared to most top players, because his defense is so good that he feels he can get away with taking fewer risks (probably). That's likely why he wasn't using barrier, but it's also possible that they were just trying to show the character off more.
