I still remember this episode. During the 2nd showcase showdown, an elderly woman fell over when spinning, and the other two contestants tied THREE TIMES before one of them finally won. Barker commented that Yvonne was with them in spirit, and he told the two contestants that if they tied one more time he would disqualify them and give both showcases to Yvonne. Well as someone else said, his constant berating of Yvonne is irritating. Bob shouldn't have said what he did from 1:43-1:48. He also shouldn't have said what he said from 2:26-2:33 because it's not necessarily Yvonne's fault that the ball got stuck up here, it's the designer's fault for designing the outer ring so that the ball could balance at the very top of that ring. And at 3:45 Yvonne wasn't arguing with Bob, so Bob shouldn't have said what he did there either. Yvonne probably did the best she could but still did poorly.

The rerun would have aired on 7/27/87, certainly. July 1987 saw CBS sometimes air game shows during the afternoon when Irangate coverage aired in the morning. I remember them airing Card Sharks at 12:30PM EST, followed by TPIR at 1PM EST. Pyramid went into reruns for part of the Summer, possibly due to Irangate. Bob's hair was close to going white at this point, less than a year.
