Enjoyed the vid just a tip for the future if your messing with carbs clean your bike first easy way to suck dirt, also when washing never start right after also a good way to ruin a motor trust me I learned the hard way. Now I have airbox covers and exhaust plugs. Once I wash I clean and make sure all is good and dry then start. With the filters you run it’s really important to make sure they are dry and you can blast dirt through them on accident with power washer. With as much cash as you have in the motor it would suck losing it over something silly. Not being a know it all just trying to give tips to avoid what I went through with my banshee. I had a similar build on a 96 for silver lake sand dunes. It was really close to yours just a tad smaller. Anyway keep ripping I like your content

@StupidFastJohn4 жыл бұрын
Jet sizing is going to be more dependent on your elevation above sea level, you will have to do some searching and try to find someone with a similar setup to your or at least carb size and sea level and copy n paste it or just do it the old school way and do some plug read and adjust as neccessary 👊🤙

Sounds like clogged pilot jets or wrong size (too small) not giving her enough fuel or even out of sync. It is called a carbureator synchrometer 🤙👊 the one i got was for a volkswagen, they work amazing on banshees!

@@StupidFastJohn I'm a cr250 guy in the mini sprints. I've done about 30 mottors. Ok now on the 250 on the trans side we have a shaft collar that goes around the crank Now if this collar has a groove say if you can feel it with your finger nail it needs to be replaced. This will asked like a bad crank seal. So the trans oil will get in your crank case. And 1 more thing do not use cheap seal stay with Stoke seal. Water pump and crank seals. Did you get number drill bits from Harbor Freight to check your main Jets to see if they are both the same size? Just throwing any out there that it could be. @@StupidFastJohn If your shaft collar has a Groove in it that you can fill with your finger now it acts like a blown crank seal Check your shaft collar. I had a motor high compression 310 PSI that would last one night and then the next night out I would blow the crank seal I dealt with this for about five races before I inspected fat shaft collar. After I bought a brand new one the problem went away. My collar was 45 bucks. Go back with stock crank seals. Love your videos bud

@@StupidFastJohn Yes it is Look it up it's a dirt oval. Talk to the promoter to see if you guys can go out there and hot lap. I recommend you getting a smaller left rear tire so your quad will turn. Yoo your vw one not the best. I would buy the motorcycle cynic tool it goes a lot higher on the vacuum scale so you can zip tie throttle and sync at high rpms. I strongly recommend setting up a fan to blow air on your radiator while tuning your bike especially if your setting throttle at high r. Every time I’ve done this anset the idle it’s always off around the high 40s on the meter and can still be fine tuned at the high rpms. Adjustments need to be in 20 second intervals to let the bike to catch up with mixture
