This was actually a really good game. One of the more underrated Super Bowls. I think it gets lost because it was the strike year (1982).

People were rather excited to watch this Super Bowl. Probably because there were less games played and people were craving football. Another case for the NFL playing too many games now.

John Riggins was a machine in this game, 38 carries for 166 yards and a 43-yard touchdown run to put Washington ahead

At 33 years old! He had 610 rushing yards in 4 Redskin playoff games that year. That's video game numbers absurd

@@ChiefBlue4298 As a Redskins fan I agree. Miami just got the record over the Redskins for The highest scoring game in NFL history. But at least our former DANNY BOY owner is finally gone

Strange how ineffective the Dolphin offense was in the second half.
@timburr4453 Жыл бұрын
Redskins made adjustments. Dolphins O wasnt that great in the 1st half either... they had an unimpressive offense in general that year. Woodley was bad, but could make plays with his legs at times. Decent run game, not so good receivers. Harris was ok, Cefalo a big play guy, Nat Moore was aging and had a lost season...

@@timburr4453 It's a pity Dan Marino wasn't in the 1982 draft. I believe a rookie Marino would have won this game for Miami.
