Thanx for what you do for rabbits, they deserve it. The woman who saved Filbert is a good person too, I wish more people to be like this.

They are beautiful and so well trained. So many people don't realize how intelligent and "trainable" they are. We have 3 rabbits in the family and think they are great pets.

Thank you for adopting a shelter rabbit! Three times at the shelter is a lot to go through before finding a permanent home. My favorite rabbit to train was adopted and returned twice for aggression. He is amazing. He dances with me, plays soccer and basketball, and flops when I cue him. I use clicker training to train my rabbits.

I have an adopted bunny, the dog/cat shelter considered him too timid to be adoptable. Fortunately a rabbit shelter picked him up, which is where I got him, and he's a lovely rascal. Not so keen on people but if you shake his treat box he'll come careening. Thanks for putting this vid up!

No, they don't run away. I trained them at first off leash in a fenced yard. Then on a leash on the parking strip near the street, then when they got really reliable about staying on the grass I let them off leash. They got to the point that I could take them through a course at a new location 3 times and then let them off leash and they would still stay on the course.

Thank you Peggasus, video editor extrodinaire. Ah, just wait for our next video. My new little agility rabbit is enjoying training. When I take the hurdles down to put him away and feed him at the end of the day, he refuses to go in and eat. He would rather be hand fed during jumping sessions than eat from the bowl! Too funny.

The rabbits are average sized. Muffy and filbert are about 6 pounds and Mattie is smaller at about 4 1/2. Muffy is an English Angora and Mattie is a Fuzzy Lop mix. Filbert is a lop mix.

@fuzzfarm17 жыл бұрын
Perfect! You can add something he likes to the corner to make it an even better place to be. Try putting a hide box, treats or toys there then you can slowly add more obstacles for him to clear on the way to the corner. Let your hamster enjoy himself in the corner for a while each time he makes it past the obstacles. An agility hamster, I love it!

Your rabbits are too cute for words, I sat here saying 'BABIES!' the whole time. Our Benjamn is an 11 year old dutch whom we found a few weeks after easter on our front lawn. No one replied to the found rabbit flyers so he's been ours these 10 years. House Rabbit Society has lots of info on addopting bunnies too.

That is so nice that you adopted 5 shelter rabbits. Aren't rescued rabbits wonderful? When this was filmed the rabbits had been in training for about 2 years. I trained them each for about 10 minutes a day about 4 times a week initially. Sometimes we would train every day before an event. Sometimes we would take a couple of months off. Now that they are older and not so active, we only train about once a month.

I think Mattie is a Fuzzy Lop mix. Only one of her ears is slightly lopped though. I've had other Fuzzy Lops and her coat is very similar as well as the shape of her head and her size. Unfortunately Mattie developed cataracts in both eyes a few weeks ago and is mostly blind now. She is retired from jumping and is in charge of mowing the front lawn and sunning herself along side Muffy and Filbert. She seems to be adjusting pretty well and I'm grateful that she has bunny buddies for company.

Hi Pete Clicking with your rabbit is a great book. I have worked with Joan and Teresa and they did a wonderful job writing a book that explains the hows and whys of rabbit training using positive reinforcement. Look for pictures of some of the "Super Bunnies" in the book. What have you been training your rabbits to do? Rabbits are very fun to work with.
