Why in everlasting, undead hordes of Satanic fuckery is this song NEVER remixed? You'd think after remixing Bloody Tears or Vampire Killer for the fifty-millionth butt-fucking time someone would remix THIS. But no...the sun will never vanquish the horrible repetition.

So much this (the op) - if you sit back one evening and listen to this entire soundtrack, there are SO many opportunities for remixes by those with the talent and skill. Oh well - * sips more wine and leans back to continue listening to arguably the best OST on SNES *

I also found this remix that I really liked: "Deforestation - Super Castlevania IV 'Forest of Monsters' remix by Thunder Thouin". I thought it had a nice blending of the classic tunes from the old games and the more gigantic and emotional sounding music from Lords of Shadow.
@anweshchakraborty27 ай бұрын
Honestly, there's no need, because if you listen to it, you'll feel like it's being played back from a CD. I feel that way myself whenever I listen to it. This applies to the entire OST. Thus, I believe that this song, or rather no song in this game is in need of a remaster, because apart from the CD-like fidelity, every song in this OST is brimming with great tunes played on carefully selected instruments. However, if you still want to listen to a remaster, there are, of course, the recommendations my fellow commenters made.

It's crazy to me so many people believe the Genesis had a leg up on the SNES in the sound department. If you look at it objectively it's not even remotely close. Not to say Genesis was bad at all, it's just the SNES was so damn good. People cling to what they grew up with I guess.

One of the greatest games every made; IV captures the true grit, sheer horror, loneliness and brutality of Dracula's reign during that era. The coders hit it out of the park not only on the gameplay but scores like this one. I say put the original team together behind CV IV and Kickstarter a project to bring a remastered version back to all high-def/end consoles today. Oh but wait, they are busy working on COD 10, another waste of space.

I dont really care for a remastered version.. Very similar to Super Metroid..why remaster it when it was perfection on the super nes? Bring us a new castlevania using pixel art !! Give us an old school platforming/action style castlevania like this one & then a SOTN metroidvania version!! Both genre are exploding on pc and consoles i dont know what konami is waiting for...
@drlight66776 ай бұрын
Unfortunately Igarashi essentially killed old-school Castlevania where platforming, avoiding pits and deadly hazards/traps was a key component of the game. I really like most of his 2D Metroidvania games, some of course like SotN being classics, but I miss the days of games in the series like 1, 3, 4, Bloodlines, etc. Also, you should check out Slain: Back From Hell and the upcoming Chronicles of the Wolf@@peterc504

@KarasawaL3010 жыл бұрын
Emulators are legal. They're also a good thing for promoting awareness of classic titles and preserving the art therein. Without them, one can argue that Nintendo would have never implemented the Virtual Console feature (fun fact: Nintendo uses a heavily modified version existing emulator for each individual VC title). Also, it's insane to expect people to go out and buy a SNES console and much less the games. Quite a few titles still aren't on the virtual console, you know. The only way people are going to know about these games in order to demand a re-release is through -- say it with me, now -- emulators.

These games imprinted music on me so much it actually is a huge inpiration behind the reason I became a guitar player, and the music influenced what i hear in my head and so it thusly affects the way i play and the way i write music. And its only been a huge benefit as my inspirations are some of the most prolific and talented musicians ever to grace the planet and im not just talking about video games, these guys are world class musicians and conductors. Video games were not looked down on as just kids toys in Japan as it was in America, so it attracted serious talent.
