Blows my mind how many "detailers" don't use compressed air on interiors. Good on you for doing the job right!

Same here, when I worked in a detail shop it was probably the most frequently used tool we had. Even for blowing out exteriors around emblems and such to keep from getting water spots as it drains.

Potentially people starting out. Compressors can be pricey, and I’d say a lot of KZbinrs don’t have one cos they’re not fully set up yet, but 100% is the most useful tool both interior and exterior

When I first started out, I had a little pancake compressor. Especially if you're mobile, a huge compressor isn't necessarily the best, and the pancake ones work perfectly fine. Definitely worse things money can be spent on as a beginner.

i’ve watched probably almost a dozen videos and i’m impressed. I wanna run a detail buisness this upcoming summer, just trying to get it figured it out because i’m still a junior in highschool. I have $600 worth of supplies/ everything i need to get started detailing but like I said i’ve watched about a dozen of your videos I mostly watch them in my free hour. I just wanted to let you know I appreciate your videos, I’ve learned a lot from them and I look forward to buying all your products, soaps, greece product and the 7 year claybar coat. My only worry is investing into this buisness and it not being successful so I’d really appreciate some advise on what I need to start it off because i don’t wanna buy all of your products until I get the buisness rolling and I know I can make it legit. Again appreciate the videos👍

There’s always a risk when starting a business. It’s best to start slow. I’m about to start my business up again and for all chemicals, supplies and equipment, ie. air compressor, Mytee vac, etc, it’ll be about 15K. Just work and gradually build up when you get an idea of how things will go. Good luck!!!

Flawless detail, as usual! Amazing results. Your APC working against those dirty wheels was so satisfying. I did notice that the "other KZbin Detailer" had WAY too much compound, which actually just cancels out any cutting power it would've had. But the other thing I noticed was in the after-shots. Neither the trunk area nor the top of the car had been paint-corrected. Just polished. In the sunlight the swirls and scratches were very noticeable. I don't know why he showed the paint correcting if he wasn't really committed to it? Just to say he did a color-correction?

The other person you mentioned does enough of a job to a daily driver, but when it comes to paint correction and that finish line, yeah you and AMMO NYC are killer experts. I would refer to your channel for expert work. Question though, when would you use a large rotary vs when would you wet sand the paint?
@STILLNIGHTPEARL
@STILLNIGHTPEARL 2 жыл бұрын
You would wet sand to remove etched on stains or deeper scratches, extreme oxidation, also to remove orange peel you would wet sand, those are just a few examples, compounding alone isn’t enough to remove all defects, but it can do a noticeable job by itself if you’re not proficient with wet sanding. Wet sanding before compounding makes defect removal easier, but you need to know which grit is appropriate and how much clear coat you have to work with.

Much respect man. Not to many people using rotary polishers on KZbin these days. Glad to see you are shining some light on it showing that no matter what combo of D/A and pad you will take way to much time to get the results a rotary can give you. Also what’s your procedure on headliners on a job like this. Hope you are well.
