It was a test. Playing around with how to commentate of races if this is a direction we want to go… commentating as third person viewing the race as a commentator would or past tense looking back on the race …

100% agree. I raced buggies, frontie, touring but most fun is Tamiya truck. Close racing and budget friendly. The brushed motor will wear out after some time, you will notice lower max speed. But not expensive to buy a new brushed motor. And the Tamiya pinion gear is of very soft metal, so upgrade that if the racing rules permit it. I believe Schumacher has the pinion in better quality metal.

Well done Carl, awesome race. Me and my son had great fun in our local tt02 racing last night. I was 1st and he was second in both races until his pinion came loose in the second., not a good look when I put his pinion on 😆. He was catching me at that point as well

I love the idea of truck racing, but it looks very top heavy and that would really distract me when running it. I did put together a truck body and ran it on an old tc4 or tc5 when that was still a "current" car.

That is part of the fun

Having to adapt your driving through the day is part of the challenge, especially running on the same carpet as 1/12 cars where the grip comes up massively through each round. It massively improved my driving and reactions.
@oopster74 Жыл бұрын
@purehillmanimp oh no doubt. I learned fairly quickly that you have to have very different styles for on road and off road racing. Thats 1 readon i paint my shells a certain way to help me tell front from rear and left from right easier, without having to spend time thinking about that too much.
@heady2008 Жыл бұрын
We occasionally race the trucks at our club but they have to be stock including the Tamiya shell, wheels, tyres and pogo shock! Bearings, hardened 19t pinion, servo saver and motor cooling are the only upgrades allowed. They are still great fun apart from the frequent roll overs when taking corners too fast.kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4uom6qJoLKkhcU
