Your body looks great. The TT02 Class is a great class, as long as everyone follows the rules As you know there's a lot of information out there about the TT02's. There are so many models. Obviously, I don't know your local rules. There a many ways to cheat and ways to doctor the motors. The TT02 Class popping up all over. You ran a very good race.

Beautiful body! I think this seal the deal on me getting a TTO2R since it comes with the bearings. Good call on the dog bones! I'll be picking those up too.

Cool video. I'm getting into racing next month and never raced before. I'm starting in the tt02 class. Any tips?
@netcruzer Жыл бұрын
Mostly what I've said here. Your type of carpet will matter. We use lower grip grey here. If you have black, it's higher and you might need to add glue to the sidewall or inside/outside of the tread to reduce tire traction to prevent rollovers. It's a great entry class, you are now allowed to make many changes so there is not much setup to worry about.

@netcruzer Thanks, it's an asphalt track and I wish I had access to a carpet track in my area. I subscribed to your channel, looking forward to more content.

What color code grey is that lexan paint? Looks perfect for a porsche 911 Tamiya build :)

Looks great. What tires do you have on this TT02?
@netcruzer9 ай бұрын
TTGT class requires Gravity RC USGT wheels/tires.
@NODTHEROD Жыл бұрын
we have the same class . we use the thick wheel spacers(helps keep the stable). when the nut is on its only half thread on but it stays on. we use usgt tires. we do allow fans and they help the motor a ton near the ending of the race.. some of the guys sneak in the 23 turn motors cuzz the lable looks all most the same....

The hex thing is interesting! I wanted to run it but saw only 2 threads would be on the nut. Cool that it works!

Were all the cars running stock motors and suspension? no hop-ups allowed?
@netcruzer Жыл бұрын
All the same. Box stock torque tuned silver can motor, and friction suspension with the kit chrome springs only.
@xthumprx Жыл бұрын
@@netcruzer I'm liking that class, when it come to tuning the car, I'm still learning. Can you change the gear ratio then? Would make sense then as to why the 1 & 2 place cars lapped everyone even though your laps were clean and consistent. I've built a couple of TT02's with upgrades , aluminum drive shaft and DF-02 difs & bevel pinions (metal instead of plastic).

I bought the CVD's from the link but the dog bone going into the cup is too big?!
@netcruzer5 ай бұрын
The Tamiya cups are big, for the stock dogbone and the no-name CVDs with big ball end. If you bought axles that have smaller dogbone end, you have to change the cups. For example Yeah racing requires smaller cups. I use a global link type I never know exactly what product it'll link you to.
@fogcityrc48745 ай бұрын
@@netcruzer I figured it out my tto2R uses small cups.

Did you break in the motor submerged in water for about 20 minutes at low rpm’s? Then clean the comm with bright boy and lube the bearings afterwards. It’ll get going much faster
@netcruzer Жыл бұрын
I didn’t do a water break in for the brushes, but I did ad a bit of high speed oil to the bearings. Hoping it gets a bit faster after a few more runs.
@hmisay4976 Жыл бұрын
What did you back your Corsa Gray with? It's a woefully underappreciated color and yours came out fantastic.
@netcruzer Жыл бұрын
Silver. Prefer silver backing it doesn’t shift the original colour too much. I had some orange mist get thru my masking before spraying the gray, but it didn’t ruin it thankfully.
@Wimbelder Жыл бұрын
Can you ride a Tt-02 with yeah racing upgrades
@netcruzer Жыл бұрын
No, the chassis and suspension has to remain kit stock for this class. Just bearings allowed.

Good showing; did you put bearings in it? Can you run oil filled dampers or does it have to be stock? Can you change the gearing? Lastly how do find the handling on the TTO2 vs the TTO1? I actually like the handling on my tt01 much more than the tt02, but I'm only doing laps on empty parking lot courses.
@netcruzer Жыл бұрын
Bearings yes. No oil shocks allowed, no gearing changes allowed. Stock motor and suspension. I actually prefer the TT01 also, I think it’s a sturdier build with less slop.

They aren’t technically the same since it’s obvious the 2 guys lapping you are much faster. Do a proper motor break in and you’ll see a huge rpm increase. Use the app Giri to test rpm.
