This ship is another wargaming enigma. They gave it more guns but increased the reload and nerfed the accuracy so overall you land probably the same amount of shells at the usual supergame ranges as with a Conq.

Really weird, these super-ships in my head its if countries kept building big ships and there was no missiles or jets, so i presumed they will have very good reload and accuracy with modern stuff. Like radar guided shells and auto-loaders.

​​​​@@Zergling.Autoloaders are exponentially more complex to implement as calibre increases, the turret would've been way stretched to the point that having an extra guns/turrets/larger caliber or improving on existing loading systems would be far better in the end. The British did try that on the Lion-class BB project, the results weren't too ideal to say the least. For guided munitions, I'd assume even more protection in the shell would be needed for when the propellant charges are ignited to preserve electrical components. Said shell also has to redirect course using some steering system. I don't know how much it'll take to turn a 406"/+, I'd assume it's slightly plausible considering how long the shells would be in the air but take it with a bag of salt.

@@gangutbayern246 For the autoloader i was thinking that was better to have it even if you have to sacrifice a gun or caliber, since you reduce loading time (preferably), and reduce needed personal for the ship, at the same time you will not have people on the turret if something blows up, of course there still needs a way for people to go there to do repairs. And with more modern ammunition i dont think you need big rounds to do damage. For the guided shells, i mistakenly put 2 ideas in that comment, it should be that the ship has good ways to range distance and accurately shot, with modern fire control systems. And guided shells dont need to have explosives inside them, i was thinking more on the lines of solid shots, but from what you said ones that explodes could be viable too. I am really not knowledgeable on this stuff, just basic stuff if anything, i just had this imagination that super-ships should have more modern systems to increase their performance with less crew with no need to decrease firepower, (better shells and rate of fire).

@@maltemejlstrup4746 its how they balanced it for sure, its just a really lazy way of balancing cus it negates the whole point of having more guns. Like there is genuinely no ship in this game that benefits from having more guns than their tier 9-10 counterparts. so it renders the whole thing pointless if they nerf both reload and accuracy.

Idk i think annapolis is one of the more balanced supers. Like yeah dm with an extra turret and it has a burst but you do more dpm with just regular firing mode so its kinda niche and only for situations where you gotta do alotta dmg in a blink

​​@@fluxthelycanroc9603ah, that F-key gimmick puts Annapolis firmly into T12. BB AP alpha for free on a cruiser is broken. A balanced Annapolis would have 32 mm central plating instead of 30 mm and no F-key gimmick. That's it. Same with Condé. That would make them T11 ships (like Clausewitz) rather than T12.

Relatively new to the game. Just got the KGV. Going to grind, hard, to get the Conq, and hopefully the Devastation! Loving the Brit BBs.

KGV is very good when used properly, don’t sleep on the AP and don’t be scared to push in towards the latter half of games, words from someone who considers KGV one of their best ships

Im not sold on this ship, I think they overnerfed it. Patrie compared to republique: -.2 sigma for +20% better DPM +50% higher salvo weight. In addition, patrie is has a better engine boost and better conceal. Almost all of its other stats are buffed except worse turning Patrie even has the same exact fire starting capabilities as conqueror with its HE, though less HE alpha and pen. So if you wanna burn down bow in battleships patrie will do the job just fine, while also absolutely smashing cruisers with its AP Devastation compared to conqueror -.1 sigma +5% better dpm +25% better salvo weight. Seems like more of a sidegrade, the reload especially is a real problem. Only 5% DPM increase is nothing, on ship that is all about continuous HE pressure and fires. It also takes a hit to conceal unlike patrie, and its consumable is the same. I guess you get bow armor? I don't think 13k-15k HE salvos are impressive with a 38sec base reload when the other super BBs (and vermont) are getting 15k+ AP through the front and devstriking cruisers.

You're missing a couple of things regarding Patrie: Firstly, sure her speed boost is +15%...... Except they also nerfed the duration to 2 minutes instead of 3 like Republique. You go faster, but for only 30% of the battle when République can have its duration for almost 50% of it. That's not an upgrade, that's a sidegrade at best. That sigma reduction also impact more severly that +20% dpm over republique. She's also much, much less survivable than republique for 3 reasons: 1) the tier XI landscape is much more rough against 32mm plated ships because of Satsuma and Hannover. Now sure it's also a problem for Devastation, but you have to keep in mind that devastation at least has an icebreaker and an external belt to mitigate this. Republique doesnt. 2) She's huge and has the highest broadside in the game bar none. Devastation is smaller and harder to hit 3) Unlike République, Patrie doesnt have hidden 50mm plates inside her bow, which means that Patrie can get citadeled through the nose by 32mm overmatch extremely easily You are also forgetting something about devastation: The impact of Burst fire. It's ALWAYS better to starts more fires in a single salvo than over multiple salvoes. Because if you start 2-3 fires every 33 seconds, the ennemy will simply be unable to optimize the use of DCP and will loose much more hp than against a continuous fire setting capability. Looking at numbers alone certainly doesnt give the whole picture. Devastation looks very strong because unlike Patrie, her survivability doesnt suffer as much for those additionnal guns and the salvo increase scales extremely well with her fire setting capabilities.

Yeah, I'm not interested in the USS Maine, nor am I interested in HMS Devastation. I like Montana for its accuracy, don't need a less accurate version of that. Novosibirsk does look interesting and I do wanna know what you think about that one.

British BB's in Real life - Amazing Armour second too the Yamato, outstanding AA - Bofors 40mm's and PomPoms. British BB's in Wargaming - Subpar armour and subpar AA. Oh and outstanding torpedo and flooding protection systems. (and yes the Prince of Wales sank, but the issue there was rectified)

I think it is interesting that the super BBs seem to be - by and large - sidegrades to the tier 10 tech tree BBs; while the super cruisers are mostly actual upgrades (of various degrees). WRT Devastation specifically... another high tier/high caliber HE spammer is just what the game needs.

You're going to lose money on that. You'll need at a minimum 100k damage to break even.

Not a fan of the recently released super bbs. To be honest they make no different than the T10 counterparts. Although they have a higher gun count, they lack accuracy/range. Imagine super columbo has like 20 guns lol. As a bb main I would rather have super bbs designed in a way like Hannover and Satsuma, with bigger guns that can guarantee damage at any angle. Overall if the output is not reliable as British HE/SAP, gun calibar shall be improved instead of raw DPM.

I would expect a "super" would figure out how to shorten the reload on the 3 guns per turret rather than trying to shoehorn in an extra gun and sacrifice accuracy as well. maybe trim 10 seconds off reload and put some more velocity on the shells by upping the guns to 54 caliber length?

I'll be honest I don't like it, or the super monty. Can't help but feel like the uk super bb should have been thunderer wot a superheal and hp buff, maybe 12 guns with a reload nerf. Super monty should have been 12 gun ohio with better secondary and AA and a hp buff. Instead we get 16 gun versions.

Nova sibersk, is how you pronounce the russian name. It is the name of a city. Most people miss pronounced Khabarovsk for the longest time too, it is also the name of a city near Vladivostok. It is pronounced habarovsk Хабаровск the х makes a hard H sound.the english spelling isn't accurate.

This ship used to be good in testing, and now it was nerfed to the ground in both terms of maneuverability and gun accuracy because y'all couldn't keep your mouth shut and wanted to complain that it turned well, that the guns rotated fast, that 16 conkek guns have no right to be acccurate. WeeGee ripped this ship apart to the point it's unplayable, gave it worse dispersion, gave it slower turning, slower gun rotating, increased reload time. and the result? this. superships aren't allowed to be good nowadays unless it's the 1st gen (satsuma, annapolis, etc) and the same shit is happening to Maine. British Colombo. No point in having this many guns if they're gonna be inaccurate, but ok.

why the hell you pushed in with a ranged UK ship? testing limits? ITS UK not German. UK ships burn and never tank. I think only the German and French are the better super BB then the Japans BB. USSR super BB just sucks.
