In regards to premium time, something I like to do is to buy the "Offer of the Month" which gives you 30 days premium and 2,500 Doubloons which is also the cost in-game to buy another 30 days premium. But the really good part is that you can play for a month and when the first 30 days run out, you can either pay those doubloons you got for more, or if you wanted to step away from the game for the next month because you're a bit burnt out - no worries, those doubloons will still be there to buy premium when you come back! If you had just bought a flat 60 days of premium you would have wasted a full half of it with your break from the game. Alternatively, these doubloons give you a net that you can dip into to demount equipment and retrain commanders if necessary too. This also applies to the "Ultimate Treat", which is 30 days premium and 7,500 Doubloons.

That particular deal is at the same rate as typical $120 a year premium. There are now two ways to get premium for half that. Usually right after Xmas for a week or two there will be a sale for 1 year prem at $60 (half off). 2nd way that's recent is on your birthday (if you specified in your acct)they will email your a link to get a 100% off coupon for the online store. If you use that on premium, then it effectively makes it half price. However, you can also use it to buy dubs and when combined with an armory coupon you can buy a ship for 38% of its normal doubloon price....or buy extra dubs and do both.

Dont forget that by playing your first game every day in the ship you are grinding gives you a bonus 500EXP for that ship for the Daily mission. Great for moving that 1 grind along just a bit faster.

Thanks for this informative video, a lot of players don't have a clue about how the game works and only go to farm BB's without helping the team thinking that is the only way to get xp and credits, and they don't understand that you do less credits and xp doing 100k damage only on BB's than getting defend ribbons, damaging dd's, spotting ships and torps, I make double xp and credits on a cruiser with 45k damage on DD's, cruisers, capping, contesting caps, spotting than a game with Yamato slapping BB's for 200k and doing nothing else.

For example if you're going down the French or German battleship line, you don't really need to research the range on guns because their dispersion is pretty shit at that range and it's better to just skip ahead to the next ship. Also less range means faster concealment..

After trying War thunder i don't think even steel ships are that hard to grind. Gave up at that game after some time. I think WoWs fairly balanced, even though I'm always low on credits and not being able to buy researched ships.

Yeah I’ve been stuck with several tech line ships unlocked that I couldn’t afford on more than one occasion. I ended up combining premium time with my T6/7 premium ships and spamming operations. Even a loss makes more than the average random battle and a five star win in a T7 makes 6-700k.

Pommern is my absolute favorite premium ship. I had around 900 days of premium after the last Santa Crates because they loved throwing that at me.

I don't play above T5 in Random, but I'm still glad to have a handful of T9 and T10 ships. They've come from coal purchases, or the dockyard events, or containers, or other events. They're fun to take out in Co-op sometimes, and useful for snowflake events. I'll never be good enough to play them in Random or Ranked. There's just too many ships now, and I refuse to devote my life to memorizing maps, shell velocities, gun calibers, armor layouts, and penetration values and the other things one has to do to be competitive at high tier. But I still like the ships.

Hi SLM, Greate update on grinding tips. I´ve been following your old tips and getting excelent results. Now we are facing the GK changes (I really love plaing main line German BBs, Bismark, FDG and GK are my favorits on this game, have re-started that branch several times now)). I´d like your comments on what could be the best course of action (reset branch, sell GK now, just sit and wait, start grinding XP on FDG). And since you are re-visiting some BBS, would be nice another new review on Gunther Lutjens if you may.

SLM - Couple of quick corrections. Capping "credit" is allocated in units where a single cap is worth 30 units. These units are awarded based on percent time in the cap. In other words, the value of an assist cap award in variable where you might get 24 cap points or 80% of a solo cap worth and get an assist flag or as low as 1 cap point and get 3.33% of solo cap xp. Defense works similarly where the amount of credit is based on the amount of cap progress reset from the red unit capping when your shells reset him. Couple of minor points on grinding coal. I find Brawls a poor use of time since you might have to play 80 battles to get that 10k coal. Conversely, that same amount of time in randoms would likely get you all 3 daily containers for 2 weeks. Also, the cheapest way to special signal flags (I call them dragon flags) is the Yamamoto containers. They give 12 and sometimes 24 flags. In fact they were so good that the nerfed them last year to only give 5 of the possible 8 types but the 5 give are more or less the best ones but I will sometimes buy other lower yield containers to get a few of the scyllia or leviathan types. Also, the best place to use these flags in is clan battles...especially if the league you are in always you to win the majority of your games. 30 to 40k fxp per battle is possible when fully kitted out. Never ever use a high value camo or signal in COOP.... I just want to cry whenever I see a spring sky camo in coop or low tier random game.

Great video, lots of info I didn't know. I am on Twitch fairly often. However, I have never seen you. I am new to WOWS after a long hiatus from the game. I smartly maintained my account, but there are a lot of things to relearn. I did buy premium time about a month ago enough to last thru until around Christmas when I hope I can purchase premium time for a year at half price. My biggest expense in the game, which I hate, is purchasing dabloons, money to move captains around, buy captains, and reconfigure captain settings. So far, I have been happy grinding the lines until I get to tier 8. But at $ 1,500 doubloons, WOWS gets expensive for me quickly. Needless also to say, I only have 2 premium ships, and I won them off Wookie the CC..

Also try out destroyers if you want to grind credits. Destroyers love getting uptiered. And good at capping. Apart from long range kiting cruisers, this is the best class to farm damage. And no we don't talk about CVs.

Good video again :). If you don't have coal or premium ships the best tiers are 6 to 8 for all classes cvs probably no higher then tier 6. Reason being the ammo cost. DDs are the hardest class to play above tier 5 inmo but are the most risk vs reward, cruisers in-between since their versatile but squishy its a bit less risky , bbs least risky easiest class wise to play but depends on damage and damage taken.

The problem I have with the game is I'm sitting on about 1,900,000 XP I can't use without converting. That costs Doubloons. 76,000 Doubloons or so (25 XP per gold). That currently costs a little over $300 US (which I don't have). I am a Free-to-Play kind of guy. That's Wargaming's business model and it's not going to change anytime soon.

i'm not actually sold on the "winning equals more credits". when i compare battles with similar performance, but one is a win and one is a loss, the credit income difference is negligible. XP is higher for sure, but credit income doesn't seem to be affected by win/loss. i've reviewed many of my own after-battle results, and this has been my own observation, but your results may vary.

Most efficient way to advance tech tree lines fastest! Does require doubloons as mentioned in video. But what isn’t really mentioned is using doubloons to convert xp to free xp. Grind your way up to tier 10 on a line. It’s slow but eventually get there and use premium time and economic boost as much as possible. Once at tier 10 do ranked battles. “Once you are confident that you know your ship and can hold your own” Ranked rewards seem to have given me the best ship Xp and then convert to free xp using doubloons and with that research another line and repeat. Expensive yes but quicker than playing lower tier ships which will yield less xp per battle. Anyway, this is my findings so far. Interested to hear your thoughts.

I won't recommend grinding US lines with another nation line because it takes time to get used to the US shell arc and grinding a German or Russian line, that is known to have flatter shell arc, will confuse you as the US line will have you take more lead due to the speed of the shells beings lower while the other lines are just like railguns so yeah you'll miss a lot. If you're planning to grind two lines at once try US cruiser and BB line rather than US cruiser and German/Russian cruiser line.

Little asterisk on your comments about cap ribbons, the way it actually works is about cap contributions as a part of your team. There’s a pool of base xp which is shared out between your team proportionally to how much time they spent in unclaimed or contested caps. So if you cap three times that’s great, but you might not get as much xp as a dd on the other flank that’s capped once but spent half the game contesting a cap and capped once.

The one day premium is great for players that play from time to time. You get 65% increase in credits and XP from using premium. So when you're playing for hours why not spend $1?? I ended up with a Salem as my first X. This works just find without grinding out a different tier 10, just stay on co-op for 50 battles or so before trying random.

the best way to get credits is to sell flags. the only ones I keep are exp flags, I also sell most camos I get from special events, I find credits to be much more limiting than Exp, and also you can trade your coal for the first ship and get 1.5 million by selling it. doesn't take too long. also I also go super container now, cause if u get 50 camos u sell that for 2.5 mill credits.

Here is a tip to grind Steel. What you want to do is grind through bronze as fast as possible to get to silver (this is what I aim for since it is T8 or T9 witch I really enjoy playing). Do not rank out unless T10 is your jam. Grind the steel in silver over and over again until the 4th leg. now your in gold for the 5th and final leg and try to rank out for the final bit of reward. this should net you about 2000 steel for the first leg 1200 for the second, 1200 for the third, up too 2400 for the forth. The fith one at that stage is just a bonus. Being on the last section of players ranking out will be hard as the teams are very unbalanced, only guys remaining will be supper Unicom and those that should theoretically not be in gold in the first place but it can be done. My stats are nothing special, at best just above average and I make my steel rapidly (58% win rate in ranked). I am currently sitting with enough steel to buy any available ship just waiting for the December ship voucher. With the current ranked structure I get steel quicker than what I do coal.

There also the super container that can drop free premium day or ressources for you. So why not waiting to piled them up (like 10 or more) and then open them. The more you've got the better your chances to get some good drop out of it. And since around Christmas we heve the snowflake, every TX ship will get you one for every win. Still a good way to grab some more

385 ships. 104 empty ports. Can we sell the empty ports back? I wish they would quit messing with the reward flags. They could return the reward combat flags and still sell them. If a player is good they can play without them if they have, many do anyway. The idea "make them pay for them will earn us more money" is a losing proposition. Returning the rewards for excellent gameplay and selling them is win-win. Don't they have any staff that does quality improvements?

Every time I manage to save up for a coal or steel ships, it has become obsolete. No more so than the Pommern. Within a few months there is now a Prince Ruprect, Shleiffen, Prussia and Hannover all coming to town, and GK becomes a special ship. Do I really need a Pommern anymore?

Pommern is still a good ship. Its much tankier than rupprecht, and has more guns. Better armor as well

I did not watch the video as I do not have the time to do so, but my way of grinding is fxp. Playing the premiums I like amd then buying new lines or the ones I know for being ineffective as I am a 62.5%+ w/r and pr grinder. It might sound arrogant, but I rarely win games if I am not in the top 5 of the scoreboard. Many average players do not realize it, the amount of unicum or super unicums has heavily decreased in the past months and more often than not those players (me included) are the ones that do the small deeds that can determine a win or loss. The rest are just bots that try to stay afloat and it is about taking care of your fellow players like a shepperd's dog. I just need my team to survive.

@@danielburnette9552 it's got nothing to do with being a so called elitist when T10 is full of inexperienced players it ruins the game for everyone. Just look how many threads are of T10 battles being over in a few mins with 1 side getting decimated. Games like that are not fun for anyone and is causing a lot of people to quit. It's down to too many inexperienced players who don't learn the game mechanics because they rushed to T10

Its clearly not the only problem They are a lot of people at t10 that have a lot of experience ans still don't know how to play this game I'd say that i get more game ruined by 10k battles 40% wr players than by 500 battles players

@@SkitzoSam My friend you have to understand that playing in lower tiers is not fun either. People want to feel like winners and want big powerfull ships like the Yammato/Montana/Colombo that can blap others ships like hot knife into butter or fast & furious ships that can full several entire grids with torps like the Shimakaze, Elbing, Freisland etc etc. They don't want a sissy as ship of ww1 that will sink with one shot. No. And if they take your advise and grind from tier 1 they eventually will found tier 8 ships that can crush them like nothing later on the game. Best solution is to grind fast T10 and stay there.
