I love this so much! I’m terribly bad at it, so it’s nice to watch other people get so much further than me! It’s so impressive how well you guys both did, with all the distractions of streaming multitasking. Honestly this game is retro gaming style brutally hard. BTW, one bird eating a different species of bird is no more cannibalism than a lion eating a wildebeest is.

Birds are a whole order (as in kingdom, phylum, order, class, genus, species), the same way mammals are. We just more readily recognise the differences between different species of mammal because we’re mammals. A magpie, whether it’s a European corvid or an Australian artimidae, is as different from a chicken as a human is from a whale.

@barbararowley6077 like I said, I get what you meant ( meaning mammals), but mammals as a whole are more diverse than birds. All birds have similar traits where mammals vary wildly like you sed a human and a whale are both mammals, but a human and a chimpanzee a lot closer as we greater apes. I guess another analogy could be humans eating monkey brains, something I think they do or did in China and other Asian countries But also alot of our diet consists of mammals. Sheep, cow, pig, deer, horse and other mammals in some countries, at the end if the day its because of our omnivorous diet we are the top species. People in some parts of the world eat each other still! 🫨

I love rhythm games & am generally really good at them, but i found the demo of this absolutely brutal, especially at Pro level. Too much task switching, it completely broke my brain. Given that this game actively wants to hurt me, it's going to have to wait for a good sale.

I've been playing at pro difficulty and the one where hand dog returns in the meat level is absolutely brutal for one person. Having to multitask between managing the environment puzzle solving, the music and controlling hand dog was insanely challenging.

Personally the game looks fun, but it definitely appeals to the crowd that enjoys multitasking and juggling several mechanics at once. Don't know how much overlap they have with rhythm games, though.

weirdly I'm neither into rhythm games (played a little guitar hero for a while and that's pretty much it), nor do I enjoy multitasking (for example overcooked was far too stressful for me) and yet I unexpectedly had an absolute blast playing the demo of this

"We're not very good at the game" Hardly seems a fair estimate. It's the first time you've played the game pretty much, right? You're doing so live in front of people and you are games journalists, not dedicated streamers who rack up thousands of hours in a single game / genre.

I have questions about how this game was made. All of the songs are from royalty free music libraries, so what other shortcuts did they take? Is the entire game one super expensive asset flip like you see so many of on the Switch store now? Or worse, did they have AI handle the design? This is by Konami who are responsible the disastrous recent Silent Hill live service monstrosity, so you have to wonder.
