Glad I ran the videos for events in Europe - Netherlands and Germany. Always tight to the details. Especially stunt Heli shows where no one has a clue what's next move. Cheers

Beautiful airplane and excellent flying. If you wouldn't mind sharing, where did you acquire the bush wheels from. I have the same airplane and I bought a brand new 182 I am going to mount on mine. It had a Saito 150 on it. Would love to have a set of wheels and tires like that. Thank You

Thank you! It’s a very docile flying plane with a great wing loading. The wheels/gear are made by “Positive Reproductions” I think. That’s what is written on the sidewall of the 8.75” main tires. I purchased this plane from the original owner and he said the gear was around $600. The tires have not aged well and have hard spots all around them but they get the job done. I was able to fly a whole day without needing to air them up. The 182TD has around 2h30m of run time on it with 6 flights. Tuning the dual carbs has been very easy. I’m running a 16x8 prop (I think) and for the break in flight I left the needles 5 turns out and flew with glow heat on the whole time, 7000rpm. After 4 flights I leaned it out a bit to 8000rpm and it had really responded well. Next outing I’ll finish the tune after adjusting the valves and get the cowl on it. I’m really loving the combo, this plane is a KEEPER!

Thank you so much for the information. I bought mine from the original owner when I lived out in Tucson. I haven't had an opportunity to fly my PA-18 yet. Since I moved to Georgia I have been putting some personal touches on mine, so it is somewhat "apart" right now. I moved to Georgia to be close to my grandchildren and had to build wooden crates to put my larger airplanes in for the move. Something I do not want to do again. It was a major task.

Stabilized approach at Vref, power off coming over the fence, flare, flare, flare...but don't be ground shy...grease it on, get off first exit. Piss cutting legend. You have power on, right? You're trying to fly it on rather than getting the flare right, I think.
