Sadly, smaller RVs are not cheaper RVs. You can get a decent amount of ~5 meter long RV here in germany, but they cost a fortune and are far from a bargain compaired to a 6 or 7 meter one. We were looking for an Oasi 540 and the range from 55.000 to 70.0000€, which is just ridiculus for a two-person-rv.

Dude! I absolutely love the vintage 70s look of the interior! I think that’s one of the biggest appeals to buying an old school motor home like this 1974 Airstream. I would hate for someone to buy this vehicle and delete the 1970s out of it only to modernize the interior. If that’s the case than they should just buy a new motor home. But man oh man am I in love with this rig! Growing up my uncle had one of the 70s GMC models and our family had a total blast every time we went camping with him. Looking at this vehicle brings back so many great memories! Thanks to everyone who shared this. As always this has been a great video and I look forward to seeing the next one! Cheers!

Engineered well ahead of its time. Durable, simple, and NO computer crap to spoil the adventure. Modern day engineers could learn a lot. A true time capsule. It's going to make someone a great tiny home. Easy to see the General Motors engineering influence...2 piece panoramic windshield and bus (Greyhound) type mirrors, and rounded aluminum body. Both these features were used on the GMC Astro and Chevrolet Titan cab over class 8 over-the-road trucks of the same era. The bus type mirrors were only used a year or two and they went back to using the traditional west-coast mirrors on the trucks.

Yep freaked me out how rough he was with someone else's vintage motorhome and I doubt the owner would be pleased 🧐 probably going over the video with their attorney 🤣 no really 😟

Agree, this bozo shouldn’t be let near anything old. What a jerk.

This would be a GOAT of #vanlife if Airstream started production on a modern version of this. Thank you for you video.

I love old camper/airstream vehicles. But you had me flinching every time you randomly banged on things. lol Thankful the current owner allowed you to give it a showoff!

We have a 24' 1976. That booth makes a very comfortable bed. It also can be put side by side against the wall to make a sofa.

Damn, wish I could afford it, he'll make a small fortune on it, that's for sure, we just bought a small, very small, aliner, we haven't been able to use it yet, looking forward it. But that looks more like us!!😖

@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures how much is he asking, I know you said it's on ebay, and people bid on it, but how high do you think? Maybe in a future video you could say? I really like that, it's so groovy!!

Do you know how many of these are on the road? Or should I say working?

Nice! That was super fun. I got so much more out of this video because of your knowledge of company history and manufacturing & appliance knowledge. Great video! I definitely have even more respect for this brand than I already did. Any Airstream is worth every penny, but they are so far beyond my budget. Nevertheless I adore them as eye candy!
