I have my fountains put away for the winter. It's been really cold (in the 20's at night) here in MS. I had one of my buckets and pumps freeze and crack one winter so since then I wash everything good and put them away until spring. Love the cutting the straw at an angle tip. I have an idea for a new fountain but wasn't sure how I was going to direct the water to where I want it to go. Now I know how. Thanks Robbie. Merry Christmas!

I need a heater for my bird bath, frozen solid, one actually cracked. But they sure love the feeder I put out.

I just bought a tiny heater. I’m gonna test it out, but unfortunately you will need electricity for it. ❤

@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy I looked at a few, need to read more, at what low temp they still work.

I had one of my buckets and pumps freeze and crack one winter. Now I put them away until spring. I thought about some heaters too but I don't have anyplace to plug them in. I haven't seen any solar or usb ones. Thinking maybe it's because the heater draws too much power?

Thanks Robbie, I bought the on sale power bars. I also found the solar ones do not work well. They do not charge when in use and although they clearly say they are 20,000 they do not last an entire day. I thought they were such a good idea when I bought them. But I find them very disappointing. Thanks again for the tip on the sale. Love watching you.

I have the same experience as well with the solar power bank. It took forever to charge even under full sun. I ended up charging it indoor before putting it out for the kitty drinking fountain (as bird bath). This 20,000mAh solar power bank lasted less than 24 hours for a 5V USB water pump while Robbie said hers lasting for couple days. I was so disappointed. I jumped on this Flash Sale power bank that Robbie shared on this video. I bought 3 and hope I have better luck with these 🤞 🤞

I read that when it's really cold out, birds need more water than usual, so I've left their dishes out instead of bringing them inside. I can't bring the large water bath inside anyway - way too heavy for me to lift. However, all of the water in their dishes have been frozen solid in the mornings with the temps in the teens. I've poured warm water on them and even taken a rock to try and break the ice up. Didn't want to use hot water in case that broke the container. Do you have any other ideas about thawing the water in them? Thanks!

If you can bring power to it, you can use a very small aquarium heater, I just added the one I bought under this video❤ Check it out❤

I bought three of those, and I’m so tempted to get another one or two cause I’m gonna use them all over the garden for the fountains. Plus, they’re really good in emergency. If the lights go out, you can plug in a tiny lamp or charge up your phone you can even plug in a small fan. Glad you bought them before they sold out.❤️😊

looks like the birdbath might be due for a good cleaning! Keeping it fresh really helps the birds stay healthy and happy. A bird bath should be cleaned every 2-3 days, especially in warm weather, as stagnant water can harbor harmful algae, bacteria, and mosquito larvae, which can be dangerous for birds and potentially transmit diseases like West Nile Virus
@sherry9649Күн бұрын
I think Robbie knows how to take care of birdbaths.

In the summertime, my bird baths get algae very easily. Do you think those little tablets that help keep the water clean are harmful to the birds? 🤔🤔🤔 Liz
