Thanks for the tips. I knew my Dart was special. It always seems like things are more difficult on this car.

Here is why you had a bad day. When you double or triple the sponge pads, it absorbs your torque, If you only used a single sponge you would have removed much more material!

Yeah, I normally only use one, but I didn't want to dig to deep in the areas around the bulge

Ryobi right angle drill, that's nice.

Yeah its a lot more comfortable for me as it feels like a mini polisher, and that's what I'm used to. Normal drill will also work too

Oh, and another thing, I do lights every day, That right angle drill while comfy is a NO-GO! There is no clutch, that's going to bite you in the ass one day, while using 3 layers of tape is good practice you still need your clutch.

You might be right, but I haven't ran into any issues using it. I feel like I have wayyy more control with it compared to a normal drill. It's all down to preference. Maybe I'll learn the hard way one day lol

I had a hard time with my 2017 focus RS. It took me 6 hrs. Took my time, taking brakes, and it came out good.

bro! i struggled a lot on a 13 Ram i used 320, 500, 800, 1500, and 3000 but still got scratches from the 320 and they ended up looking a little hazy at the end after the polishing and clear coat
@DelgadoDetailing
@DelgadoDetailing Ай бұрын
Yeah man unfortunately, if you use any pressure at all with the 320, you're gonna have a hard time getting those scratches removed. One thing that has helped me is splitting the light into sections, and using brand new 500 grits on each section. I've had good success removing 320 grit marks that way. Repeat with the 800 to get the 500 out, but after that, the 1500 and 3000 step is really quick

Do you wipe down the headlights with an ipa before the spray or directly spray over ?
@DelgadoDetailing
@DelgadoDetailing 6 ай бұрын
Nope! Just directly spray over. The IPA would remove the UV blockers from the restoration polish. But if you were to use something different from the Meguiars, like let's say 2k clear, then yes you would need to ipa wipe

How much warranty do you offer before they turn yellow or foggy.
@DelgadoDetailing
@DelgadoDetailing 6 ай бұрын
So if they follow my instructions on after care and use the kit I provide, I warranty it for 1 year. In reality, it should last about 2 years if they take care of them
