Super DIRT Week day number four here at Oswego Speedway! Man oh man does this racing thing have it's highs and it's lows. I don't want to ruin it.. you'll have to watch to see for yourself.

There it is ! I knew he had to have it ! That hot headedness that all racers have. LOL that's ok. I see it almost every week in one class or another at Outlaw in Dundee N.Y. Was starting to think maybe something wrong with you buddy. Your alright. If by chance your coming to Outlaw this weekend (oct.18-19) look out for me. I run the ol' dodge pushtruck, big red bumper. Would like to meet ya. Saw Mandee earlier in the season but was new to follow. Wasn't sure it was her til I saw the vlog. She was about 10 feet from the truck in the infield.

The people from other states such as Colorado is why I suggested when the Moody Mile was shut down. That it would be neat to see them race at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland Missouri. Since I am sure the place could handle the race and it will give a central location to allow even more people that wanted to see the Super Dirt week races to be able to come and see the show. Yes it is a long ways from New York. Yet at least from my perspective it would allow for more people to attend and even for those that have this style of Modified to be able to race during Super Dirt Week. Since as I have stated before that there are places down in this area of the country that race this style of Modified. I even have seen a photo of Gary Wright racing one in Texas or Louisiana from a year or two ago. Of course, I would not have brought it up in the first place if it was still at the Moody Mile. However with some fine tuning it would be awesome.

Hello Jeff from Maryland...formerly Maine here... A year ago I shared an article with a few written about Riverhead Speedway on Long Island NY. The author said these small tracks would disappear. I wrote back and disagreed. For decades the 1 mile dirt track in Syracuse NY hosted a multi-day racing event. It drew all the best dirt track drivers and cars. Syracuse decided to tear the track down and build a convention center there next to the NY State Fairgrounds. The promotor Glen Donnely decided to build a new track. He even started on construction. He was also going to put down synthetic dirt he invented. I assume the funding never materialized. Oswego Speedway is a somewhat famous track but it is asphalt. Every year now they truck in dirt to cover the asphslt and then remove the dirt to support asphalt racing the following year. Look at the revenue this track pulls into the area. So to that author predicting the demise of small local tracks I say look west young man. I attend dirt track races in PA/MD/DE/NJ/NY.....the crowds are large and the purses huge.
