I will not judge a mom or dad who is doing the best they can for their family. My 3 boys are grown now and we ate a lot of hamburger and potatoes. I would buy 50 pounds of potatoes and we would have potatoes many ways. We do what we have to do to get by. I am glad I don't have to feed a family these day. 😊 thank you, and trust me I take no offense whatsoever... it takes quite a bit to get me riled up.....mostly because I promise yall I am my own worst critique, ain't nothing nobody could say that I haven't noticed or thought about myself so anybody else saying it and I'm really just like "okay...tell me something I DONT know" 😅🤣🤣 I think that's one of my biggest cons and pros about myself, it's hard for me to take things or people seriously, especially when they're trying to be rude and demeaning purposefully trying to hurt feelings.....sorry bud...no feelings to hurt here 🤷‍♀️ ima just laugh right along with ya. I agree, you don't have to justify your home, lifestyle to anyone. My parents raised 4 kids in 60's and didn't have a pot to piss in. But we were happy kids. Who never felt the struggles our parents did. You make your home, kids a priority and that's a beautiful thing. I love your videos with you and your husband and kids. They seem happy and loved. Love it all! Have you ever tried crock pot or slow cooker meals? They are usually cheap if you catch meat on sale. I cook pork chops, bean soup, sweat and sour beef and all kinds of stuff that literally take 15 min to prep.

Wait until Christmas, pots and pans are always on sale!! I got a Tyme & Table brand from Walmart and I love them!!! Many people don't know what it's like to use what you have instead of buy, buy, buy!! I use a cup and a half of sugar in my sweet tea, it's called sweet tea for a reason. lol I like all the recipes you've been doing, it gives me new ideas.❤ I'm with Caleb, no zucchini boats!! lol The B is the beautiful line of items by Drew Barrymore at Wal-Mart.

We get lots of B Vitamins from Red Meat/ Ground Beef and the children need some fat for proper brain development. Also, there are certain vitamins that can only be absorbed if there is some fat in their diet. ❤

Chelsea, you must give the chopper a chance. The meat was still cold so that’s why it wasn’t working very well. I have had a chopper for 28 years and can’t live without it. My kids all have one. Everyone I give it to loves it. It chops hamburger and sausage super fine. I use it to chop lots of things, nuts, onions, peppers, etc. You can crush crackers and candies. I have also used it to mash potatoes. Good luck in using it.

I have really enjoyed watching the cooking with you and the kids!! The food looks really good, and it's not things I typically make, so I will have to try them out. I like the meal you made, it does remind me of a dip we make with sausage but it totally works as a meal with ground meat and the pasta. Two tips 1. You could add pasta water to your hamburger mixture to make it creamy 2. I have added my hamburger after I cooked it to my pasta and drained it all at the same time. Which ever is easier for you.

Chelsea, you had me at pasta, cheese and cream cheese! That looks so good and I know the Rotel just adds more flavor! I would probably add the cheese to the noodles and the Rotel to the ground beef and then add those together in the big pot. And sweet tea has to be sweet! I always use the lean ground beef because it had lower fat amount. The fat is what makes it have more flavor. My sister won’t use lean ground beef because she doesn’t like the lean. I think you should fix what you can and ignore those making negative comments. My dad was in the Air Force and we moved quite frequently. My grandfather used to raise black angus cattle and would raise one to split with us each year. That was the best beef ever. He also was a butcher so he would cut it up the way he likes and would grind his own beef. We would go to visit him in the fall and we would get up at dawn to help him cut up and package a whole cow. By lunch we would be eating the best steak and ground beef. I’m almost 61 and I have fond memories of those days. He had 160 acres and had large gardens. We were so blessed as a family to have that experience. We learned where our food came from and what it took to grow or raise it. A lot of hard work. I respect you for taking such good care of your family. You and your husband have a beautiful family.

Oh wow yes Caleb wants animals so bad but we just haven't been in a position yet to be able to take that on. Caleb actually grew up on a dairy farm and had to help with all of that when he was younger so he knows how much work everything is.

Chelsea your a gem ,I'm the same way sometimes I say no to things because I feel like money could be useful for more important things, my husband offered to get me new pans and I said no lol , my Mom gave me some old country white glass bowls with designs on them ,they looked brand new ,and I just love them, but when I was raising my boys we didn't have alot when we purchased our home but it was clean and nice and we were happy . Chelsea…I get let down if i spend more tome cooking than it takes to actually eat it…lol. Unless im cooking a special meal for a special occasion. …and as far as people criticizing what you eat…we all have areas that we can improve on. My area of struggle may be different than yours, but we all struggle with something. Someone who eats healthy and talks about someone who doesn’t eat as healthy, may have a problem with drinking too much, or smoking …or any number of other unhealthy habits….we all could do better on something, but all we can do is our best with what we have. ….and oolong os just a type of tea. The Be os for beautiful, Or Barrymore. Its Drew Barrymores brand of kitchen appliances. That is a nice little tea pot/brewer!

I laugh when I look at your pan, I had one so similar and it was my favorite pot , it was warped and not round but I loved it. Everyone gave me such a bad time I finally threw it away….i think of that pot to this day… Seems like that recipe would be good for Caleb to try, with sausage and tortellini .. I loveyour cooking with the kids shows and I give you praise for teaching them to cook… love your kids

Do what you do!😊 I hope you get your pots and pans! I bought a set of Revere copper bottomed pots back in the 80's and still use them to this day. The set was about $35.00 I believe. They don't make them like that anymore! For frying I love cast iron. They are so easy to use and clean! Hope the back to school night was fun!

Im an ok cook…but my problem is i just wing it and make up stuff as i go…and it usually turns out pretty good…the problem comes in, when i try to cook for other people…dont know why; stage fright (haha) or being distracted, or just trying extra hard to make it really good….thats when i will have a cooking fail 😂😂. Never fails.
