Is the bead sealer to help keep the tire from leaking or is it to help you seat the bead?

I like the initiative cause it’s a pain in the butt to apply it with a brush but you are using way too much sealer. It’s a waste of money and makes it impossible for you or my customer (in my case) to take the tire off. I wonder if there’s a pressurized bottle that can spray it instead. Cause I sure as heck would buy it. You are close!

Why don't you clean the run bead and use sand paper if u need to. And maybe use new tires and then nobody needs nasty bead sealer

I had a bad experience with old leaky tires a few years ago. I have a big old wire wheel on my grinder to clean the bead and rim. You might be right that I don't need the sealer.

Sometimes this is useful with old rusty steel wheels with a bit of rust pitting on the bead seal like on an old lawn tractor or something like that. I used to take sandpaper to the bead on the tire and the wheel and clean it up with Spray-nine. Then I painted the bead with grease and in most cases it would work. I obviously don’t recommend using grease but it has gotten me out of a bind if the tire comes off the rim from going flat. Bread sealer is a better solution to use if your rims are not in the best condition. It’s fine for cheap wheels like lawn tractors or other small tubeless tires that must be a bit rusty. I would never EVER do this on a car wheel or anything you really rely on. If it doesn’t seal after sanding it, then something is wrong with either the wheel or the tire and you need to figure out why.

I can't see the short, but I think I was making a spare tire for my old Toyotas. Not recommended obviously 🙄

I have a tractor and had to replace the tire. The new tire won’t hold air because of something they couldn’t sand off so now I’m having to look for this. A new tire doesn’t fix an old rims problems.

I used bead sealer on a rear motorcycle tyre years ago, sanded the inside rim down before fitting the tyre but it had a very slight leak from the bead so used the bead sealer and the tyre is now finished so lasted for thousands of miles and held pressure better than pretty much any other bike I've owned, I must admit though I used no where near as much as this dude I just gave it a light coat, yeah grease or something similar may have sealed the tyre also!
