List of materials needed
1. Yarn #4 medium ( i use acrylic yarn 100% 199g 355 yards (325 meters) 7oz) in this tutorial shorts I consumed 1.25 skeins of yarn for the small size.
2. Hook size E/4-3.50mm
3. Tape measure
4. Stitch Marker
5. Scissor
6. Wooden beads (optional)
Instructions (to customize)
1. Get measurement of your hip circumference.
Make chain according to your size. Stretch the chain you made (ex.my hip circumference is 34”) your chain must be 34” when stretched. Note: when you make chain, make sure the number of chains is divisible by 2.
2. Measure your thigh circumference (ex.mine is 20” each thigh).
Divide your work into two (for the legs/thigh please watch the video). Add more chains to get the exact measurement for your thigh. When you add chains make sure the total number of chains around (each thigh) is divisible by 5 so that when you reach to the edging you have exact number of stitches.

Hdc- half double crochet
Dc- double crochet
SL- slip stitch
Ch- chain
Beg- beginning
Shorts size: small
Hip circumference: 34”
Height:12”
Thigh circumference: 20”
Belly button down to the crotch: 8”

I'm already far into crocheting the shorts, and I realized that it'll be way too big😭. I measured around the widest part of my rear, and now it won't fit my waist at all. Hi Serena thank you for visiting my channel ❤️. Sorry for the confusion. Measure your hip circumference then make a chain length then stretch it according to your hip circumference. You have to stretch the chain to get the correct size so that it is not too big on your waistline 💕.

Hi thank you for visiting my channel 💞. So sorry if I didn't put different sizes with corresponding number of chains on my tutorial because I only tried to make a tutorial for my size ☺. To customize: make a foundation chain stitch of 130. Then add or reduce the number of chains according to your waistline measurement (when stretched). Make sure your foundation chain is in even number as you will divide it into 2. Example: Foundation chain 130 divide by 2 is equal to 65 chains. So each thigh has 65 chains. Then for the crotch try to start adding 15-19 chains for the small size then try to measure it if it is exact for your thigh circumference. (if not add more chains up to 25 chains for the larger size). Make sure when you add the two numbers must be divisible by 6. Example each leg: Foundation 65+ Crotch 19=84 total stitches. Total sts 84 which is divisible by 6. It must be divisible by 6 to get the exact number of stitches when you do your edging. Larger size of the shorts tutorial. Hi Marrion Masha, thank you for your message. I think the best way you can do is find a yarn that stretchy in that way the size for the waist is not too big. Because when you get the measurement is just base on the chain how long it is when stretched and it must be according to your hips size when stretched. You can also leave open halfway in front part of the shorts from your navel down like 3-4” or it depends what size your hips is. Hi Sandra thank you for you message. I reattached the second leg in the 10th chain (if you remember I added 19 chains. The middle number of 19 chains is 10. So you reattach your hook in 10th chain). hi Stefania, thank you for your message. yes there is a way. Just use a smaller hook smaller than the recommended hook size. the smaller the better. Mine so far is just fine it's not see-through. I am always wearing my shorts without lining.

But i recommend you po na yarn na mas magandang gagamitin mo is yong medyo stretchy yarn tapos light weight ( kong di mo gustong makapal yong shorts mo)para di masyadong malaki yong waist. Pero kahit anong yarn mayron ka as long as di cya chunky yarn puide na yan at saka with 3mm hook. About hook size naman, usually yong sa yarn label may recommended hook sila na nilalagay na anong size dapat gamitin. Pero para sakin mas maganda yong mas maliit size na hook na gagamitin mo sa nirecommend nila para di masyadong ma holes tingnan lalo na pag di mo lagyan ng lining. What I mean how do you get the 19sts for the crotch area?

@@melissacepeda1341 Foundation chains 130 divided by 2=65 stitches(each thigh). After I divided my project, I added 19 chains in the middle and connect to the back side. Then I measured it. So 65 sts + 19 chains=84 stitches (which is my thigh circumference size of 20”). If you have bigger or smaller thigh circumference, reduce or add more chains. One thing you remember though, make sure when you add the two numbers it must be divisible by 6 (example 65+19=84 (84 sts are divisible by 6) so that when you reach to the edging part, the number of stitches is accurate ☺️.
