Absolutely a great idea for our journals. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Jen. I know you made this 5 yrs ago but I only saw it today !! I don't do journals etc, but your work caught my eye for a different craft. I love to make hairsticks. I make them from chop sticks, dowel rods, paint brush handles, sticks etc.I'm going to take your decorated stickpin ideas and use them on the ends. I will either drill a hole in the centre of the broad end and glue in the pins, or thread onto a long wire that I will wrap around in swirls and curves. I love dangles on my sticks too. I can definitely see matching earrings as well, and chandelier style earrings with 3 pins hanging from a circle, with chain between them going up to a much smaller circle, then up to an earring wire. Thank you for the inspiration.

I use the rubber earring back and push it all the way up on my stick pins , tight against the beads with a tiny bit of glossy accents for glue to hold the beads in place while the glue dries, then slide the rubber earring back, back down to cover the sharp pin... I use the stick pins on front of my albums in clusters like a bouquet of flowers..

Note... if you watch and buy one of the inexpensive jewelry making kits from Michaels (mine was 12.99) you get all the tools, jewelry wire, jumprings, beads of several sizes, and all sorts of useful things... and then you have all you need to start playing with making these... so much fun...
@danielleagland56015 жыл бұрын
Love them all! Rather than the clear bead to stop the beads moving, you can get crimping beads, you squish them around the wire and they are designed for ending this sort of thing.

I almost think I want to make this one again, after I finish my ephemera keeper. The choices are endless. I have all your books minus all the choices of patterns. But working on it. I started doing your books early 2018. I also got a friend to follow you recently. I only have two friends that do paper crafts. Love your work.🥰
