It's always a wonder that Android Auto and Carplay weren't wireless to begin with. These finally make a car feel "smart".

I'm not sure why it wasn't! My best guess is that WiFi wasn't built in to most car radios until more recently, and wireless CarPlay and AA use both WiFi and Bluetooth to transmit audio and display.

Can anyone help!I have a Toyota rav 4 2018 hybrid model.When I plug the wireless android auto usb and connect it with my phone nothing shows on the screen!

Does Android Auto work with a wired connection directly to your phone?

The dongle only converts existing wired Android Auto to wireless, unfortunately it can't add Android Auto

Its always connecting via WIFI instead of just Bluetooth. And so I cant use my WIFI to connect to internet. Been tried to reset this twice and yet do the same again and again. Anyone having the same issue as mine?

Do you mean for CarPlay and Android Auto? For wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, the phone uses both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to transmit data.
