Thank you. I am having a difficult time justifying the unit. I now have unlimited data on my phone and as such the phone has become a multi media player. Fed through blue tooth. But not the stupid Volvo Aux port that breaks down.

I use it almost exclusively with Android Auto, so all my apps use my phone data but are displayed and controlled on the unit's screen. It's the same for Apple CarPlay.

Some people have success installing the decoder behind the radio and using a fiber optic loop to bypass the CD changer if necessary. It's worth a try to see if it works in your car!

Mine does not have AUX. You will need to find the correct harness for non-AUX cars. It used to be an option when I bought mine, but now you would need to find it separately.

We got the replacement struts from Atlantic British (roverparts), but you can find the same ones at FCPeuro, so check who has the best prices when its time to order. There are two sets depending on whether you have the roll stability option or not. This truck does not so the parts were LR041110 and LR041108. The lift is a Quickjack 7000SLX, but they have been superseded the 7000TL. There are other models with different lengths and capacities, so if you have multiple vehicles I recommend checking which specs would work best for you!

Since the unit is standalone, you wouldn't be able to change tracks with the steering wheel buttons, but you would be able to adjust the volume with them if you connect it via AUX, Bluetooth, or FM.

It runs at 60fps with apple CarPlay!

It does run at true 60fps, most devices are 30fps or even 15fps only.

You should've recorded this in 60fps and uploaded that way too just so we could really see if it's 60fps or not.

Assuming it's a pre-facelift like this one, it could be the motor or the fan bearing. Depending on the radiator hose, removing the fan assembly requires draining the cooling system like in the video, but in some cases the hose doesn't have the same hard plastic section and you can remove it without draining anything.

It could be the control module then, which is not on the fan shroud assembly. It should be near the airmatic pump.

Yeah! If I'm not mistaken it was the original compressor, so it lasted 20 years/125,000 miles!

It was really clattery and very concerning. Sounds nice and smooth again after replacing it!

Did you connect the D2B wake wire from the decoder box? The decoder box also sends a signal to the Bose amplifier to tell it to wake up when the car powers on.

@@frenchineer my canbus cable isnt connected either, you showed plugging into another port on harness after taking it out of the connector. if that makes a difference. this radio doesnt have that plug.

You would need to find another place to connect the canbus decoder for all of the radio's features to work, but your sound issue seems like a wiring or fiber problem. Do you consistently get sound but only from the front driver door?

@@frenchineer yes i did, but it was sooo low you could barely hear it but it played consistanly. then i moved around the other fiber plugs and havent been able to duplicate that again. just to be sure does all the other fiber connections need to be plugged in ? or is the decoder and amp is all that needs to be connected?

I read somewhere that in 2013, they're actually daytime running lights rather than fog lights, so if that's the case they would not stay on when the low beams are on. I'm not sure how to confirm that though.

I don't think it's related to the radio install, though you could check the connections. It could be an issue with the HAC unit itself, or maybe with the light sensor attached to the windshield.
