I watched your Koriki video and was pretty convinced that I wanted to give it a try and I love it. Koriki has significantly improved since it first dropped so it's gotten much better now. MuOS also looks very clean and I'd like to give it a try as well. It's awesome to see that we have options for the +/H! Soon enough, both Koriki and MuOS will get very good to the point where we wouldn't have an issue recommending either.

Its sad that Koriki has problems with DS emulation. Unfortunately the best firmware for the device right now in terms of full compatibility and things working is stock os. I hope something as polished as Garlic OS can be achieved on these different firmwares but for now I feel stock is best :(

I just got a couple new micro SD cards and im getting ready to set up MuOS (hence me watching vids of it) and the one thing i like about Batocera is that the UI makes the device look and feel like an actual handheld console. All the others are usually just doing "basic lists" style of menus. Still, i am looking for other options, and MuOS is on top of my list, and so far this one has been the most straight forward ive found, so thanks, Javi.

Batocera beta V40 is really good, it's a bit hidden in the GitHub page but latest version is amazing, performance is good and themes look amazing, has still few bugs like wifi might not work depending on you wifi security settings but other than that I've haven't had issues.

Nice extensive review, thanks! As I understand this firmware lacks some QoL features like proper suspend mode (though maybe not needed for a fw that boots in 5 seconds lol), a quick auto save at shutdown, but also a global and per system simple text search function (which is probably not that difficult on a Linux base system that has a file-explorer based navigation... So my hopes are high for the future :) ) but overall the cleanliness and killer boot time will make me try this at soonest occasion I will have 15 spare minutes

As a kid I would pay for £30-45 for one cartridge-based console game after months of saving. Then I would play it for weeks. The issue I'm finding with having this massive catalogue at my disposal is I don't have the discipline to give one single game the dedication it deserves.

That’s hard for me too. I recently modded my Vita and 3DS as well as setting up my 35XX+ and 35XXH and I’m having trouble deciding what to play. Pokémon unbound and Persona 4 golden (vita) are what I finally landed on after two weeks of being totally indecisive

Maybe a stupid question, but did you just use the "standard" tiny best set data? I'm asking because I remeber it being advertised towards garlic and onion os. So you just took the files anyway or did you do anything else to them (exept the boxart ofc)? Sorry if this is a stupid question, im just really new to this stuff and eager to learn

The Tiny Best pre-scraped box art that you linked to is really only useful if you have those games and named exactly as they have it. If someone has a large game collection, it will take time to sort out the ones you need. If you don't, you'll be doing a lot of downloading.

Now, if there was a package of pre-downloaded games that goes with this particular box art set then that would be a different story, but I'd imagine it would be 100 gigs or so big. Looking at the PlayStation folder there's box art for 200 games. Now imagine downloading 200 PS1 games. 🤣

@Cyko.. actually, no, the base package of tiny best set go is 5.3GB thats all the smaller games. If you want PS1 youll get the 64GB expansion and thats totals to somewhere in the 50 something GBs.

i loaded all my content and bios exactly the way you explained. booted up the system and it showed them all at first on my TF2 slot. as soon as i clicked a catagory it it says no content now every time i go into the TF2 theres nothing?

Great video! Having a hard time downgrading from Batocera Lite. Probably the best looking CFW I’ve ever used! But, does anyone else have crazy battery drain with Batocera !? And sleep mode seems to drain battery very fast. Also long boot up is annoying. Went from 2 min down to 45 sec by using just one card though. I might have to give this CFW a shot on an extra random SD card I have. Not much to loose I guess, nice that u can swap cards and CFW in seconds.

Help please! ROMS on the second SD card not showing up. Thanks for the great video; you do amazing work! I'm using muOS with a two SD card setup. My second SD card is a ScanDisk Ultra 200GB card that is formatted exFAT. The folders set up on the second SD card show up in muOS, but the ROMS in those folders do not show up. I have refreshed the file system. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks again.

You might not read this but is a 16gb sd card fine to use for sd1? when I use partition wizard, it says mbr after formatting and making partitions, should it be gpt instead?

I have an issue where it takes 10+ seconds to load the games list if I have hundreds of roms in one folder . Its fine when its like 50 but when I have like 500 in the SNES folder it takes 10+ seconds to load the list every time

Why when im trying to copy the box art over to my SD card does it tell me "The file name you specified is not valid or too long." Specify a different file name.

I got the Rg35xx plus & H. I recently just got the H with the new firmware stock os I placed the sd card from the H to the plus everything works just trying to figure out how to use the joystick on the plus playing psp and N64 games. Tried the hot key to switch from dpad to joystick not working

i'm having trouble installing the latest version of MuOS, Beans. Flashing the image to a new SD card is fine, though when booting the 35XX-H for the first time, the boot logo will stay indefinitely. Could this just be the wrong SD card?

May try this. Koriki has disappointed me with its big load times, it not turning off while charging. And have to download your own games etc which is both good and bad, you download the games you want, save space, but also more work for you. Also while n64 is playable I’ve noticed it’s not always clean. Especially ground textures. Jumpy or glitchy. Saw it right away in Mario 64 and Zelda 64 on my h. Maybe better if I customize the settings I actually prefer the stock os for most games. I only use koriki on the h now for n64. But I went back to anbernic os for my +

You have to turn on analog mode. Go in the retroarch settings. Change you controller type to dualshock and map the analog mode to something that way can turn on the analog sticks.

46 sec. Boottime for an OS like Batocera on a handheld should not be an option. Even though I do like the visuals of Batocera I go with MuOS until the boottime is fixed. Can't wait for my RG35XXX Plus to arrive :)

Use minitool to reassign the roms partition on that sd card. Change the drive letter to something else and you'll see it

@@JaviPlayRetro Dunno if you'll read this but I've been following your guide on windows 7, an old pc I currently only have access to and used rufus and minitool for setting up and flashing the card.The SD card is a 16 gb sandisk.The latest update flashes on the sd card and I can install it through my rg35xx h successfully but when I put it back on my pc, the drive does not show up. When I try to give it a letter drive in miniparition it also refuses to give it one that sticks even after applying changes. Any clue what I could do to get it to work?

Make sure it the roms partition you are assigning a letter. The other partition are not to be used and are the wrong file system that windows cannot read

Yes, that's normal I believe. Doesn't bother me much, as long as there's none of that during gameplay (which there isn't)

Cant wait to try this at home. I pray it works. Been doing alot of videos for kiriki with a 256 sandisk SD card , flash it, follow all instructions and i plug the sd card in amd the system wont even turn on, not even the light. So frustrating. Hopefully this works. I even have 2 systems (35xxH) and neither one respond. Had no issues when i did it on the miyoo mini+. Is it because the sd card may to too big for the simple OS flash?

Another small annoyance for koriki is the button controls. Ok is cancel and cancel is ok on a lot of games. For example B is ok for koriki menus but cancel in Pokemon (or reversed maybe) so can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit the wrong button. The z target on Zelda is weird it’s the mid left trigger not the far left, same with Mario kart for items. I know you can remap the controls but seriously who designed it like that.
