I wish you'd do more videos featuring this B200. It's probably the most awesome aircraft out there right now, and the videos you make are the only ones which actually make it shine! Please record only videos with the B200 (and vatsim?) from now on - I loved these three so keep em' coming! :D

Great video. Great landing. Thanks for all the work in putting the video together. Very impressive commentary. Yes it is so complicated that I'm surprised it's allowed to be a one-pilot aircraft. But, obviously you can do it by yourself. Looks like it is continuous work, though. I guess we didn't see the cruising at altitude where you can rest for a while.

Amazing set of detailed flight videos. Thank you very much Froogle. I am using your videos and try to follow the instructions to complete the same flight using the same aircraft from Flight1. I am also using the EZdok and have set up many in-cockpit views. However, when it comes to outside views, my aircraft would have no skin, landing gear and etc. This problem is only with this aircraft and for the default FSX aircrafts the EZdok shows the outside views without problem. Do you have a solution for this? Thank you again. Mike from Toronto, Canada I

Great series Froogle! I picked up this plane after the first vid. Frames are great, model is great, flying is great. Thanks! I fly X-Plane as well, and another that you may enjoy is by JRollon (which you may already have), his JS32. Definitely similar to this and a fun bird to fly. I enjoy radio nav. Hope to hear / see you on PilotEdge or WH if I get some time.

I have been flying this airplane for about a week now and I love it, bought it because of your video as I said earlier. I have one question about the g1000, when I load sid/stars I get no altitudes, do you have to add them manually?
@frooglesim10 жыл бұрын
I don't think the G1000 manages a vertical profile so I'm not surprised to hear that altitude constraints are not being loaded. You'll need to refer to charts when you fly to make sure you hit the appropriate constraints.

You're right - its very complex. I've flown several King Airs in Flight Sim, and this is by far the most complex and the best of them all. On the strength of watching your two videos, I've bought this aircraft, had two attempts to do the tutorial and stuffed them up both times. A LOT more practice required. But its very satisfying. More than the NGX, I think.
@frooglesim10 жыл бұрын
Mike K I think in the realm of twins on FSX you may well be right there. It is indeed very complex, and in many ways more so than the NGX - it's certainly more hands on.

Thanks for all your well made videos. I have learned a great deal - thanks. Just one question if I may. I have a fairly high end PC, running win 7 64bit. However, I sometimes get a FATAL ERROR and back to desktop crash. It then starts again and seems to fine. This can happen in any part off the sim! I was wondering with you being a programmer, have you any ideas? It seems a lot of people have the same issue with win 7 or 8. Some forums have suggested a clean CFG file? Your help would be gladly appreciate. Again

Hey froogl, thanks for showing this awesome plane, is there mousewheel rolling on the adjust knob rotating thingy's as well? And do you also have trackir? If not you should definitely get it it gives you total immersion and saves you a lot of cockpit building and/or ezdok scripting. I use it for DCS A10C a lot, and it rocks.

I would buy this as it looks really good and accurate but I would much prefer it with analogue gauges rather than EFIS. Great vid as usual froogle.
@Jay-Ryan10 жыл бұрын
Although maybe not as complex, but still challenging nonetheless would be the BAE Jetstream 32 (JRollon Planes) and Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 (FlyJSim) both for X-Plane 10.

at 4:22 --> what is the prop sync switch about?
@frooglesim9 жыл бұрын
If you have both engines very close to each other in terms of power settings, prop sync fine tunes the rpm to make them both identical. It reduces vibration and increases passenger comfort in the cruise
@AglantziotisJunior9 жыл бұрын
so i guess the switch is almost always on the ''on'' mode?

Hey Froogle, Thanks for another fantastic and informative video. I'm tempted to get this plane. Have you tried the carenado B1900D? I would be interested in seeing how it compares with the B200 for complexity.
@Avilator18910 жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar with B200 procedures so I may be misinformed here, but aren't the props supposed to be brought to full RPM before landing? That's the case in pretty much everything else with constant speed props that I've come across.
@Avilator18910 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by full gear or main gear? The props have nothing to do with the flare.....
@frooglesim10 жыл бұрын
Yup. Good job this wasn't an instructional video provided by me to teach people how to do things and just an overview/review/semi first impressions huh.

Mr. Froogle very good, I enjoy your in presenting the Super King Air B200. In the late eighties I had the opportunity to fly a actual B200 King Air simulator at Long Beach airport in Ca. I at that time I was taking pilot lesson, have a license, but not current. I 'm now a flight simmer of sort, I am trying to get on the VATSIM. I am learning to fly the following aircraft: 747 pmdg, 737 ngx pmdg, 757 just flight, Dash 800 just flight, and others. I have been a simmer for about four years. I really like all your reviews, an all of your first impression series. I will closing for know, keep up the good work, I will continue reviewing your KZbin video, I am a subscriber on your Facebook page. Thank you, Richard

As a newcomer to FSX I have to ask....in this particular case what was the point of tuning the ILS? It seemed like you flew a visual approach (no glide slope). Great video series by the way! Top notch! Makes a strong argument for buying this plane :D

Hello ? How did you solve the landing,taxi lights problem on the flight1 b200
@AShadowboxsFSX10 жыл бұрын
Hey Froogle, love the video as always! Twin turboprops like the B200 have always been my favorite type of aircraft, and it looks like Flight1 has done a very good job. I have a suggestion / request. Could we get your opinions or could you make a video about the PMDG Jetstream 4100? Or maybe the Carenado B1900D? Those are two of my favorite aircraft IRL.

Should I get this one or Carenado's? I'm studying for my multi-engine license and I was wondering who would be the more realistic one.
@ZZstaff8 жыл бұрын
+Sensei Dekkers ... Carenado's version uses different avionics, for example, it uses a non-full glass cockpit flight director, two GNS 530s and a multifunction Avidyne that includes aircraft avoidance among many other functions. ... All of the less important switches are not functional, though a good number of more important switches do work. ... I do not own the Flight1 version shown here. You might want to look at both aircraft and available avionics to see which is closest to what you will be flying. Note that many Carenado aircraft have upgrades to avionics, so, check those out, though none are for the B200. The Carenado version is very stable, except in prolonged low airspeed, especially in wind shear and heavy turbulence. I purchase most of my FSX aircraft from fspilotshop.com - look up Carenado - B200. ... Equipment will be listed and reviews from purchasers, some of whom flew the B200.

Why do the Condition Levers even have High idle? Right after start up both Levers are on Low Idle?
@flyboy849210 жыл бұрын
low idle is for taxiing. high idle is for flight and everything else.
@Concorde70710 жыл бұрын
flyboy8492 Is it really because Froogle mentioned nothing about it nor does the Checklist that he is using. I have just been flying in Low Idle. The other thing is the King Air avoids FOD but having ice vanes extended on ground operations anybody know how to extend the ice vanes?
@hubinsc10 жыл бұрын
soroush valim I do not have this particular airplane but in other turboprops the "engine anti-ice" switch in similar to the ice vane.
@hubinsc10 жыл бұрын
flyboy8492 That is how I understand it also. Furthermore the engine does not develop as much power while in low idle. Therefore you would probably not choose that setting for take offs.
@Concorde70710 жыл бұрын
hubinsc Talked to a King Air 350 Captain and Trainer he said the Condition levers on High have no effect in the air its only when your throttles are in the ground idle region so you fly with Low Idle.
