Great video. I always like watching your videos. As a retired airline pilot, I can't help but approach these complex aircraft with an appreciation for procedures that I would have followed if flying the real thing. Your virtual procedures adhere to that same level of detail. Well done.

Thank you very much Anthony! I take your comment as the highest compliment coming from a professional captain. I always spend a lot of time researching the aircraft, systems, and checklist of aircraft I fly. I don't always get it right, but it's not for lack of trying. I recently got checked out in a real world 2006 C172SP with a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. The CFII that checked me out was a 28,000 hour retired airline pilot. He gave me some good pointers and was very encouraging throughout the entire one hour checkout. We both agreed that a good pilot never stops learning. You can check out a brand new released FS MaNiA video flying that C172SP here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHqtY5euotyhrtU Thanks again for tuning in and for the feedback. Best regards, Tim

I've been out of the country for a few weeks, and come back to a new series up. Awesome! I love the F1-B200 and have had it since release so I'm glad you did a series on it. Your vids help me not miss the simming so much when I'm away from home on business. Keep up the great work... there's a bunch of flight sim youtubers out there, but your style is one-of-a-kind. On to part 2! Thanks again for doing what you do! Clement

+siege00 Hi Clement!! I just now ran across this message. For some reason, KZbin had it flagged as Spam!! HOW DARE THEY!! Anyway, I'm glad I caught it. And thanks for your very kind feedback. I do my best to keep it real here and have some fun at the same time. Try not to sweat the small stuff too much and enjoy chatting it up with a bunch of good folks that love airplanes and flying them!! Good stuff!!! Glad you enjoyed this series! I'm in Brazil now, heading back North, working on the flight from Belem to St. Maarten!! See you soon! Cheers, Tim G., FS MaNiA

Hey there! Just thought I'd pitch in my appreciation for your professionalism and quality in your videos. I love this plane and learned a lot from this mini series. Not sure if you do more than one flight per aircraft, but I'd love to see some more of this thing on your channel. Keep it up the good work Captain!

You don’t seem to follow the checklist as published by flight1, but your flows seem to make much more sense than the published version anyway,you make it look so easy. This aircraft has been frustrating me badly, I hate to admit it but I may be too stupid to fly this well.
@FSMaNiA

I usually try to find real world examples of actual King Air Pilots flying as well as looking online for checklist. I almost always end up generating a checklist of my own that is a combination of everything I can learn about the aircraft. Then ... practice practice practice and hope I don't embarrass myself by crashing. I have the mental capacity of a ten year old so you should be fine. Cheers from Tim G., FS MaNiA

Cool video. I fly one of these for a living minus the G1000. 310 knots is far fetched on a modded B200 with XP52's. I get around 295-298 knots on a normal day and maybe a little faster in the colder months. 300 is fairly rare. Also, the AUX fuel is in the inboard tanks while the MAIN tanks are the outboards. 386 gallons in the mains and 158 in the aux's.

What a beautiful aircraft! and loaded with goodies, keeps you busy. Your graphics are always top notch as is the flying. Very R/W. I like the use of checklists, and all the attention to the details, good example for me. In your opinion, does this plane have a "real feel" to it? Thanks for your work, Paul
@FSMaNiA
@FSMaNiA 9 жыл бұрын
+PT Johnson Thanks as always Paul. I really appreciate your positive feedback. It's hard to say how real the Flight1 King Air feels since it is somewhat subjective. Compared to other FSX add-on airplanes, I think the Flight1 version feels as good as any, and it seems very honest in the flight dynamics. Compared to a real airplane,,,, I don't get the same resistance when pulling back on the yoke, or feel G-forces in tight turns or negative G's when pushing the yoke down, etc.. I will say I think the most real FSX aircraft I have personally flown are the Acu-Sim planes. The do everything possible to make the simming experience as real as it gets. I use to have a "Force feedback" type Joystick that did give a darn good feel. It even shook a little when taxing and shook a lot when taxing on grass. I don't know why they quit making those. I really liked mine. I wish I still had it. I forget who made it, I think it was called "Sidewinder" or something. At any rate, transmitting the control forces through the yoke/stick adds a lot more realism in my opinion for what it's worth. Thanks again and stay tuned. Kindest regards, Tim G., FS MaNiA

Another great video. Yours are definitely the best aircraft guides i've come across here on youtube! My only problem is that the list of planes i will have to buy get longer and longer for each video series you make... ;)
@FSMaNiA
@FSMaNiA 9 жыл бұрын
+Gerhard Stoltz LOL Gerhard!! The cost of these add-on aircraft do add up, however, it is way cheaper to buy the most expensive add-on flight sim airplane than to fly for a single hour in a basic real world airplane. At least flight sim gives us aviation addicts a chance within reach to fly some of the finest aircraft on the planet. I don't have a clue how much money I have spent on flight sim software and hardware (and I don't want to know), but I am certain it is a lot less than I have spent on flying in the real world. Thank you so much for your positive comments and feedback. Part 3 will be up shortly. Cheers! Tim G., FS MaNiA

Hey man nice videos and they are helpful too! They have completely improved my flights in FSX with these type of planes! I learned a lot from them and I admit that my flights are much more enjoyable! Keep up the good work man, you 're in my opinion the best and the only youtuber that flies only business and general aviation aircraft in FSX ! Anyway, I have a question, what ATC program do you use? Also sorry if you get confused with my english, that's because I'm greek...

+Nikolaos Vamvakas Hi Nikolaos! Thank you very much for your comments! I don't use any of the FSX add-on ATC programs. I have used some over the years, however, they all fall short of realistic in my opinion. The ATC you are hearing in this video is recorded from a live ATC feed from liveATC.net. I add the ATC audio in during the editing of the video. Thanks again for your comments and question. Kindest regards from Tim G., FS MaNiA

Hello! thank you for the tutorial,I have a question for you, how to change weight and balance(cg) for this aircraft?thank you!
@FSMaNiA
@FSMaNiA 9 жыл бұрын
+浩笛戚 Hi, I don't think the Flight1 King Air supports changing the weight and balance for this model at this time. If you use the default FSX menu to change the load, you will get a message that says it is "not recommend". I recall (from memory) something in the Flight1 support forums about the weight and balance. I seem to recall they were planning a tutorial on the subject at some point? It may be available by now. You can check in on the Flight1 King Air B200 support forum for more information on that. I hope this is helpful. Kindest regards from Tim G., FS MaNiA

Hi, awesome work like all your videos, is this b200 bird fully compatible with prepar3d "V3.3" and Windows 10 64bits?
@FSMaNiA
@FSMaNiA 8 жыл бұрын
Opps... sorry Raul, somehow I missed this question. Although, I'm not sure if the Flight1 version is P3D compatible. I am still using Windows 7 64bit untilthe Flight Sim community IT tech wizards have time to flush out the Windows 10 issues. You can check the Flight1 User Support Forums to find out if their model works with P3D and Windows 10. Hope that helps and best regards, Tim G., FS MaNiA

+Rodney Buckland Hi Rodney, I did not use the app for the MFD controller. I think that app is for Android?... and I am an IPhone guy. I do have a second monitor that I use to put the controller on when I am flying and not making a video. If I did that while making a video, it wouldn't be seen on the screen. Do you know if they have an IPhone or IPad app for the controller? Thanks, Tim G., FS MaNiA

What would possess somebody to do an instructional video in the dark....absolutely crazy...
@FSMaNiA
@FSMaNiA 6 жыл бұрын
Who said this was an instructional video? In aviation there are more than a few pilots who fly at night. I chose to depart on this trip at day break in order to see the sunrise and because I wanted to. I don't care if you learn from my video or not. It is not my responsibility or goal to teach you anything. If you don't like flights that depart in the dark you have the freedom to watch another video. No need for name calling. I don't suffer rudeness on my channel Nick.

I know i'm getting old...but i can't see a damn thing...why is it that a lot of people who do these tutorials start off in pitch black surroundings...how does it benefit anyone trying to learn...like saying in the real world "hey we'll start off doing night flying so you can fumble with the controls then we'll move up to day flying"....bizarre..
@FSMaNiA

Hi Nick, thanks for the feedback. I don't recall identifying this video as a tutorial, however, in the video description I clearly state there will be a "cold and dark" startup. I create videos because I enjoy the process. If someone learns something by watching it's fine with me but not my primary or even secondary goal. If you are looking for a King Air tutorial you might try searching "King Air Tutorial" or something. Hope that helps and best regards, Tim
