It's sad with the state of the game you can't tell if you aimed poorly, got bad dispersion, had lock on bug, had island bug, or had some other artillery bug. Maybe if the artillery bugs also affects that sub with a gun WeeGee will fix it. As for the Ushakov: I'm perfectly ok not seeing another stupidly broken supership.

When you don't in fact do any game design worthy of the name, all that's left is cramming in more and more nonsensical 'content' (so-called submarines, for example) and bullshit gimmicks in the hope it will 'inspire' some people to spend daft amounts of money on an increasingly crap game, LOL. That's what happened to WoT, and it's happening to WoWS. Zero mystery, zero surprise.

thats because kremlin was pretty busted when it first came out, Sinop is still pretty good. lenin and vlad are easily the strongest comp BBs at tier 8

When Kremlin was first released, it was a Death Star sniper rifle. It was deadly accurate and was impossible to kill without concentrated focus fire, unless you managed to blindside it with torps or a VERY lucky devstrike.

"Supership games where your team... just doesn't play the game." Yep. I had a game where 8 ships just sat in one little square and waited to lose. Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship, all of them. Just sat there until they lost, shooting in the general direction of the enemy at extreme range. There needs to be a Warhammer 40K function where your captain gets executed for cowardice. Consistently never engage the enemy? Here's a new Level 1 captain. Enjoy.

7:25 was probably on NA, but on EU double yammagiri is really common at T9-11. I would always count on those being part of each game

In NA, Black is in basically every t9 inclusive game. Playing about 9 or 10 fletcher games on Sunday I got only one without. This was to an extent consistent even before Black Friday deals

Funnily enough, Ushakov has a near identical set of dispersion characteristics to Patrie up until about 17km where it starts to get worse (it's slightly better than Patrie's from 15km and under, at 16km they're almost identical, and 17+ it starts to invert). It also has the best vertical dispersion of any Super BB 15km and under, and the best horizontal for 10km and under. Sigma is also 1.8 for all super BBs save for Satsuma at its special 2.1, so the accuracy should be on the better end of the spectrum, especially for the Soviet BBs being built for that "12km and under" range that their special dispersion pattern works best at. So I'm going to say, if the ship itself isn't bugged, then it's yet another classic case of the artillery in WoWs being pure dogshit on the technical end. Not that WG seems interested in fixing any of the myriad of artillery issues any time soon. And thus the consistent player bleed will continue.

it just means that soviet BBs can't really hit anything further from 12km. It was a limitation of all the soviet BBs as that's how they were designed.

8:48 What I love most about games like that one, is that they basically prove CVs and Subs aren't the reason for the super passive meta. That game had nether, it was 3 DDs, 4 BBs and 5 Cruisers per team. The "perfect MM" as some would call it. Yet everyone still plays super passive and the team that doesn't mostly all play super passive wins. It's almost as if the real reason might be something else and CVs and Subs are just getting the blame even though the way people play doesn't change even when they aren't around...

The problem with a ship designed to "take one for the team" is it presumes you HAVE a team for which to take one. Imagine playing this thing on Asia server, for example. "OK, I'll push ahead, the rest of you position to take advantage of that" ...3 minutes later.... "WTF are you you all hiding behind islands or on the map edge or near both our CVs FFS???" (expect 2 CVs and 2 Subs per side on Asia server) LOL, would be a complete and utter waste of time.

this ship will bleed credits. You don't get any rewards for tanking. You have to do dmg and cap to break even in most superships.

Actually, I think a nice build can be a full secondary build. A.Ushakov has 8x4 130mm secondary guns, with 8% fire chance and good reload. The secondary DPM is absurd at 608.000 base (based on Ship Tool website) At 10km (almost the max range u can reach), the hitting dpm is just a few less than a base Schlieffen, at 52.057. Patrie is in the middle, but too squishy. The fires/minute.... 34.1!!! Definitely worth trying it, considering you are basically pushing all of the time in this BB and the guns are "meh". Yes but the Schlieffen is a 12.55km ranges and would (smartly) stay out of 10km as most others are that range.

That hitting DPM is theoretical however. At least with German ships, you can pen anywhere on pretty much all cruisers, and you can pen a decent chunk of armor on most battleships. Ushakov can only pen 22mm. So yeah, your hitting DPM isn't bad when you look at just the numbers, but you'll have to be hitting superstructures on anything other than a destroyer to actually do any damage at all. Which means you're relying on mostly fires, in which case, why not just play Thunderer or Conqueror? Add to that the reduced range vs something like Schlieffen, and the worse concealment vs. Schlieffen, plus the survivability skills you'd have to give up to focus on secondaries....really not worth specing into if you're trying to be effective.

@@SakuraShade the hitting dpm is true and the "basic" one, woth modules and skills it goes even higher. On this ship, like on french bbs or USN sec bbs, you try to go for fires over raw pen dmg. Considering you have "mediocre guns" with low range for a T11, over 30s base reload and no overmatch, I consider that an actually decent build (also discourages open water dd farming you). Imagine being a GK, but more tanky and pushing an advanced island. How can you stop that?

@@Glider5858 Yes, maximum of 6 quadruple turrets can fire at a single target, each with 4 guns. With IFHE they can pen 27mm and with flags and DE, firechance is 6%, they fire once every 3 seconds.

I feel like playing this ship is the equivalent of driving the Mammoth/Apocalypse Tank from the Red Alert games. You'll crush everything in your way and feel invincible on the frontlines, provided you actually have other ships backing you up.

Does it have kremlin AA mount health? I just notice you were loosing AA mounts with every HE salvo fired at you. In all honesty it doesn't seem that 'super' to me, its just a kremlin with more HP and a gimmick button, it has kremlin guns with an extra 600m range (not that useful anyway because it won't hit anything) doesn't even have reload buff over kremlin. Sure might be strong in comp but in randoms I feel all it will be is a massive credit sink.

It's funny that often it's not the most powerful ship that I enjoy most. I like to move. On the PT, I've enjoyed the Patrie far more than any of the other T11 BBs. Because of it's radar and additional salvo in the giggle switch, I think the Annapolis is stronger than the Conde (MHO), but when I had the coin, I went with the latter. It's guns range farther and it very fast, just more fun for me. Maybe that's why my wins rates for BBs and CAs are average, but for DDs are actually good.

I got kremlin yesterday xd, my first fight on him ended with 4 frags 200k dmg i even citadel german t9 bbs. Good angled and ppl strugle me and ran away 😆😂 its my 4th bb unlocked. Used to play on yamato/ musashi and montana

Apparently the is a BB aiming bug where shots aimed at waterline fall short... a lot. Perhaps test with deck/structure salvos and compare.

you're right. if you had a dd screening torps for you, the games would have been much easier. you shouldn't get nuked by torps, and a screening dd would negate that. "you can tank forever" if you don't get focused by a torp dd.

I think the problem was your aim. You aimed way to low at the WATER a bunch of times. A bow in ship you pretty much aimed to low. Saying that a few times the dispersion was bad but that happens with all ships.

When you know the guns are bad like that why don't you aim better expecting the dispersion? In the second game you aim waterline on the bow of the Worcester. Given the way the rng works why would you not aim higher? Theoretically you would have 50% probability of the shells going above the aiming point and the same probability for them going below the aim point (obviously this is simplifying it to 2 dimensions instead of the 3 that dispersion actually works in). If you aim waterline you are going to lose a bunch short and into the water like you saw. If you aim higher and take into account the dispersion then you would statistically have half of your shells go low but those would then go into the bow now instead of the water. The ones that go high would go into superstructure which is better than losing them in the water. Obviously this doesn't guarantee that any single shot is going to be better than aiming waterline but the math works out to where you should have better average damage over many shots. I might run some modeling software on this to see if my theory works over large data sets. I could be wrong depending on the impact of the individual sigma values.

They should reverse the damage nerf to the guns. They reduced the damage by 1000 for AP. "Update 0.8.9: AP shell damage decreased from 15,500 to 14,500, and the parameters of the projectile accompanying this were also changed."

@PQ it baffles me how this thing made it through testing and this is the end result, at the bear minimum this ship should have gotten comparable torpedo belt to kremlin and sub 14km concealment to go with it to at least be tier for tier comparable to kremlin, which is only outclassed by the British BBs and the battle cruisers in terms concealment. I don’t even want to talk about the guns either, as someone who has played a ton of tx battleships for me kremlin has the worst guns of them all (like worst than GK bad), and they take those guns and copy paste them onto a t11 bb and give it satsuma’s firing instructions and call it a day? It should have at least had kremlins old guns (the ones it had at its release) if this ship isn’t gonna get a heavier broadside than what it has with either bigger shells or more guns. This is a very scary direction for wargaming to go with the super battleships, satsuma is the only one actually worth the time and the credits to get and it looks like that will go without any competition for a good while.

The inconsistency of the guns and armor schemes are what made me ditch this game. As much as I hated CVs, it was the failure of the mechanics to work as advertised that caused me to lose interest. I just felt like a waste of my time, and that it was a poorly made product. I don't regret ditching the game. On reflection, the coding is not good enough. The game isn't complex or difficult. It's just flakey, and badly made.

Yep. A Poorfürst just clapped me for 11k through my FDG stern, return salvo on his flat broadside 5k. All from 13 km, barely outside secondary range. (Angling is a lie perpetrated by the rudder industry to sell more rudder mods) I don't ever spec main gun accuracy on my ships because the spaghetti code will cause it to miss anyway, so bad dispersion grotesquely now is a plus (meaning some shells at least will hit). Complete meme.
