That last match of yours summarizes my whole experience with the game so far, i'm 2 months in, only really grinding the soviet BB line with a friend; absolutely terrible experience, if i were playing alone i'd have dropped this thing 30 years ago

Wargaming refuses to do anything to help BBS, I've played through American Iowa line, I have the prussen and Kurfurst for Germany, the Yamato. And I got the conqueror last week Every single bb line is outclassed by the incessant HE spam of American cruisers and the stupidly powerful nature of DDs who simply sit in smoke all game throwing walls of torpedoes whilst being borderline invisible

Tbh all Super Ships except the first "Wave", just seem like a Sidegrade to the tier 10s that offer something different , but not being a huge upgrade. Like Clausewitz is more tanky then hinden but worse Dpm, Devestation, Patrie and super petro get more tanky/more guns, but worse dispersion, while the first Wave just takes what the line offered and makes it better plus a Gimmick button.

The super montana will have combat instructions that reduce fire and flood damage for an amount of some seconds, and will also have improved aa when activated.

PQ, it's not a Super Ship, it's a Super Credit burner. The last 18 months have been all about getting credits out of the game...Research Bureau, Super Ships, signal flags, auctions, etc.

I'm pretty sure the people that torped a supership had fun. So, as a legitimate question. Are you saying it would be possible for everyone to have fun at the same time? I suspect the people eating shit either in the form of crazy cit pens, torps, whatever is never really gonna have a fun game, for that game. But, they queue in for the next, and get something that for them is fun. Seems how the game has always been structured given the RNG they stuff in it.

If you eat cits it's not fun but at least the players can prevent it easily by just playing well. What can you do when a sub is in your side unspotted like here? It's not the result that matters it's how the interaction is done. Subs and CVs only put the interaction in one side, leave the other hopeless. That's bad game design.

@@solidtoto That's not exactly true. You have things like the increased pen angles and shit like that on multiple ships. How are you to counterplay, angle harder? And know all the different ships in the game? In the end, it doesnt really matter. The crux of the matter is that if you are to have fun, is it really objectively true to say the other party will have fun too? Fundamentally i think thats how it should be. But im also gonna say that in no way is that how wargaming have designed their game. Therefore a lot of the complaints are invalid. Because only in a utopia it would hold true.

Since we're soon to be getting hybrid subs that can also launch planes, just when we thought subs couldn't get anymore miserable to play against, I sense another drop in the player population. I know I'll be playing less. On a side note your comments in your second match were spot on and reflect the comments I see in chat on a daily basis concerning submarines.

The problem is the stats say that subs are balanced, in some games subs achieve next to nothing and then in some they rule there is no middle ground and the good plus bad equals balanced in WG eyes.

You got Prince of Wales'd at the end. Considering both gameplay and history (?), big slow battleship with more guns is just going to be focused down by planes and torpedoes. Conqueror with 360 guns, better sigma, radar, etc would be a better upgrade than this.

With high tier fire resistance coefficient, its actual fire chance against super ships can drop below 20%.....so it should average 1 fire per 5 shell hits against targets that can be set on fire (no DCP active, no fire already burning etc.), meaning its overall fire chance across the entire battle should be well below 20% on average.

I get it, but I still laugh how the smaller guns can't shoot the airships. FeelsBadMan. It's hilarious how this has the turret rotation of a 2016 cruiser and these days it's slow. As for the meta I keep thinking of a new game mode that shrinks the play area over time. They've already done it for Halloween so it wouldn't be that hard. They already have it developed.

ya know people knowing about sigma is almost a detriment... having a shit sigma is a dethknell with 8 guns... but when you have 16 guns its not as crucial the problem shows up when you have 16 guns and the sigma is so shit that you only ever land the average number of shells on target... but your ship has been balanced around all the potential firepower but not the useable firepower.

I will readily take double cv games every match I play for the rest of my life than be forced to play more games with double subs and triple or even quadruple dds. WG should limit games to 1 sub OR cv and a maximum total dds/subs to 4. Easy fix to avoid games that are just farming simulators and bullet hells.

Looked at it last night, it seems to me that it has nothing going for it, 38 second reload killed any interest for me, plus the meta is now camp at the back, push you die, hang back do very little. Used t olove WoW's but rapidly losing interest in the game as a whole.

16 guns + worse sigma, results in shotgun - that leads into average player relying on dispersion to do magic (instead of proper aim) and land more shots. accurate guns + bad aim of average player is unhappy player

You are so knowledgable and stuff yert you play like the rest of those that moan about subs and cv's and such. You have no way of detecting subs yet you sail off by yourself and then complain when you can't see them before you see the torps. I don't know, maybe sail with other ships that can actually actively detect the subs instead of just complaining. The biggest issue with the game isn't the vessels but those that sail them and don't change their play style to fit the needs of the match and the deficiencies of their ship. You don't have hydro sail with someone that does. You have hard time with cv's sail with ships that have better aa for the extra cover it provides. If people spent as much time learning how to counter properly and WORKING WITH THEIR TEAM MATES as they do as moaning and whining then maybe, just maybe, there wouldn't be as much "WG why make it so unfun?" crap getting thrown about. The fun doesn't come from just being able to walk over others, it comes from the feeling of achievement when you do well despite the difficulties you face. Just a thought, sail safe ;~)

It just released, and since it was for auction before for an insane price only the most dedicated and skilled players bought it. It's always like that for ships with high entry price. Give it few weeks and the stats are gonna drop when all the potatoes will buy it and do 0 damage.

I don't blame you for being upset with the game. But it isn't hard to see why. Just an enemy you can't see that is constantly firing torpedoes at you. And this one was smart and didn't ping. So you have no idea where he is and just get to die. Those torpedoes were doing 10k even hitting your belt, 10% of your total ship HP. And they were coming about the same rate as your guns reload. Such fun and engaging gameplay.

Well I believe that may have been what it was like for the real captains in the wars. Personally I think it adds a good aspect in t he game meaning you actually have to learn how to play, imagine this, as a team with the others on your side. Combining ship characteristics to provide a rounded defense and capabilities. Ie a ship with no or little aa not just sailing off by itself and getting deleted by the cv but instead staying with other ships that do have aa to help cover you. Time for people to play "as a team" even in randoms with little communication. Open eyes and watch what others are doing and if they not doing whhat you doing instead of expecting them to be psychic you change your actions to work with them. Just a thought :~)

Surface speed for a submarine at Flank Speed (maximum combat speed) for a WWII submarine was 19 knots. Submerged speed for a Submarine in WWII was 6 - 9 Knots depending on the class of boat. In WWII a Submarine commander had to guess just right to get his boat into position to launch his weapons against a warship, and virtually every time he would have precisely ONE chance before the warship that is steaming at 25 knots and zig zagging is well out of range. The submarines in WoWS are utter rubbish. There is no way a WWII boat could reload its tubes in that kind of time, and no way they could maintain 30 knots submerged. About the only thing that WWII captains would actually recognise about those steaming piles of turd are the silhouettes of the vessels. In every other aspect they are fantasy pieces....

Easy fix to subs: make them slower. 30kts from a sub, surfaced or submerged, is insane. Make them

And take away their torpedo lead indicator until they actually put a few skill points into getting it back, so that if they still want their full dpm builds they either have to work with rng or take away some of that dpm. Either that, or make it so that subs when not at periscope or surface depth they will never see anything that’s happening on the surface as well as making their surface/periscope detectability higher so they can’t endlessly chase down someone with torp salvos that can literally devstrike bbs more reliably than a Yamagiri salvo.

I regularly play Patrie and its my favourite supership with its speed, guns and insane secondaries. I play Devastation and i'm left wondering "WHY!?". Its slow, cumbersome, inaccurate and pointless.

Sad they keep tricking new players to join so they believe it won't matter but at some point money will stop coming in. I'm still hoping someone will make a similar game but catering to their player base like the Battle Bit Devs built. till then I'll just have to get my seafaring thrills from watching you.
