While I have never been to the food pantry, I am glad I found your channel. I find you to be very inspiring and love it how you do food prep in order to make the best use of what you are blessed with. It sounds like you know many of the tips already, but I love storing the walnuts in a mason jar and then freezing it as those bags can be so big. Bless you for taking care of your mother/mother-in-law!

Deann just wanted to let you know you are a big inspiration to me. As living on food bank and dollar tree to make ends meet I love watching your channel. You have changed the way I cook for from trying to make more stuff at home and not being ashamed to go to the food bank and ask for help. Grandma is just an added addition to making my day when I see you have made a video. From watching your videos I have started using lentils instead of hamburger when I wanna stretch the budget. Please keep the videos coming and I love watching you

I also freeze the little avocado cartons and I take them out and plop them onto my hot Taco/Burrito and it's lovely. I almost fainted when I saw your haul. WOW🙃 When I can find anything from Taylor Farms, reduced, I grab it. I get their stir fry pkg with noodles & sauce. I add a jar of Teriyaki mushrooms (rinsed) that I bought on clearance ($1.10), add the softened noodles, all the veggies, 1 little carton of food bank Manderin oranges or Pineapple, Food bank Napa cabbage, 1 of the 2 containers of sauce, cover and let steam for 5ish minutes. I also add sesame seeds on top. I eat this once a week. My favorite stir fry kit is the ginger garlic. PS you can freeze your ginger & it's easier to peel and slice. This haul was so good I'm going to have to watch it again. Thank you Ms Beautiful💗💗

Idea: If you like, you can freeze fruit pie. Either in multi slice sections or by the slice. In aluminum foil or freezer bags. If you use foil, put in your oven on 350 and heat to defrost and enjoy warm pie. 👍🏻😉

DeAnn, had to add another word or two.. last night before I went to bed I made an overnight French toast or bread pudding, not sure what the difference is between the two.. I had rolls, eggs and raisins that came from the food bank that needed to be used.. I had milk, cream, cinnamon and butter.. put it all together stuck it in fridge.. took it out this morning and it is now in the oven.. it’s smelling yummy. Hopefully it will taste good!! Thanks for your encouragement. By the way if I get too wordy just let me know! Tell me put a sock in it!!😂

Hey Deanna! You can definitely freeze the avocado. I’ve done it many times. The only thing is that the consistency might be a little softer when you thaw it. Other than that, it’s perfect!👍🏼

Hi there Deanna!!! What a wonderful haul of goodies!! I LOVE seeing your hauls. Thanks for showing us!! I LOVE the long videos. Yes! I LOVE that Cherry preserves jar. I save all my pretty jars like that to reuse for all kinds of things. When I share something I made with a friend, I put it in those jars. Like soup, spaghetti sauce, pickled red beet eggs, etc. Fun!

Google: says add some lemon juice and freeze in ziplock bag with all air removed for one month. There may already be lemon juice in the packaging and you could just freeze it. The worst that could happen is you defrost your free frozen mashed avocado and it is yukky? Good luck. Or enjoy avocado toast now? God bless!

I have frozen the hose single serve avocado cups before with no issues. When you showed the peanut butter it made me think of the no bake peanut butter cream pie I will be making for Easter next week. 1 -8oz bar of cream cheese 1 1/2 c confection sugar 1 c peanut butter 1c milk 1 16 oz cool whip 2 pie crusts ( I like to make an Oreo pie crust for this but it is good with short bread crust or even Graham cracker crust) Beat cream cheese and confection sugar together Then add peanut butter and milk to that Fold in the cool whip last Add to pie crust cover then freeze. Partially thaw a half HR before eating/ searving Makes two pies so if you want one half the recipe

I have never frozen the wholly avacado but i have had the cups in the fridge for a couple of months and they stay fine. I love them because i always have avacado on hand without having to buy avacados and use them in time. I would think you can freeze them if you want to.
