DeAnna, yesterday day was my food bank haul. I received a lot of nice food. Some are already expired but as long as it isn’t too far out of date I don’t mind.. It is still kind of hard for me to go but I am ever so thankful I do. Grateful for all I receive. I feel guilty I can eat leftovers a couple times then I throw them out.. I can say one thing I am eating healthy! Thanks for sharing your time with us!

I watched you on my TV. We had a large haul also. I live in NC. We got a lot of the same things. There are 3 families that go and we give others what we don't eat. Also we live by the Appalachian Trail so I also take things I know they can use to the Blessing Box but anyone can use it. You have a great evening. Glad your husband got home safe.

That ginger beer has me salivating! Much better than typical ginger ale for upset stomach. My Hispanic grocer sells a Jamaican brand, when you first pop the top FUMES/"steam" come out! So delicious.

I tried it today. I LOVED IT! I made smoothies for my husband and myself. GMA didn't want any. Used coconut water, milk, frozen Blueberries, a couple little oranges and some frozen bananas. So yummy. The water by itself delicious 😋

You know when I open my freezer or my cupboards whatever I pick out for dinner is always a surprise lol. Until I open them up. I'm blind and don't always know what I'm pulling out of my cupboards LOL so the vegetable especially is always a surprise cuz all the cans feel the same

Hi again, It might not be enough for a full 2 weeks. but it will shave some $ Off you grocery budget and that will help? Are there additional food banks in your area? My area is really blessed there are 4 in my small community. I use 2 of them. one is my primary 2 Wednesday's a month and every friday for a mini haul sort of a help us not waste what won't hold. I also have the option of going to a super nice Senior one weekly if I want. It's small but lovely.

@foodbankbeautiful in our area they go by zip codes and you can only use the one attached to your zip code each zip code has a food bank and they check the zip codes. My son has autism and is developmental disabled. He and his friend and there community aid volunteers he only gets the food he likes.So no vegetables and lots of sweets

That's the coast. There's a bakery there in Coos bay that sells the absolute best sourdough ever in the land. They also have a cranberry walnut sourdough that will make you do a yummy dance.

No, I am in Washington. But I lived in Oregon growing up and some years as adult. I love coastal Oregon and still have family there.
