Thanks for talking about Jousset; a Swiss brand. I sampled Gourmand Bakhour and Ramadan Nights from them and had issues with the blending being unharmonious. Gotta try this one though to give an informed opinion. As for Saffron note, there are not many excellent perfumes that I like except a few such as Safran Troublant (L’Artisan) and Black Saffron (Bryedo). In the aromatic balsamic arena, look no further than the heavenly & criminally underrated Serge Lutens le Participe Passe $78 for 100 ml of resinous spicy (Cumin) leathery caramel, though I smell apricot; delicious & unsweetened. Keep up the great reviews

Serge is one that I just can't decide on what I want. I go to buy Chergui at least three times a year and then get overwhelmed on the discounter site I'm on and give up all together because I have over twenty bottles of stuff I want from the site. Almost bought one of the belle jars on Black Friday.

I own many Lutens but the 2 winners for me are le Participe Passe which is so cheap at discounters and Fille en Aiguilles which is much more expensive (this one is balsamic pine needles perfect for Christmas). Chergui, Femininite du Bois, Bapteme du Feu, Santal Majuacule, and La Couche du Diable did not do it for me. Actually the latter is said to be Serge’s only “Oud” frag but to me my nose I smell none, not even synthetic. Get Le Participe Passe, you won’t regret it
