Anyone can repeat this experiment with a video editor, a phone and a Nintendo 64 console with the game. Twitch: / perkimba Twitter: / perkimba_ PSN [PS3 only]: PerKimba Epic Games: PerKimba Sona drawn by Mitzi: / xmitzikittyx

I agree. I think that people shouldn't buy this but instead give money to the Ōkami HD remaster

I have played the game and can confirm that I can not find any noticeable audio delay. Maybe they patched the game on day one to fix this issue.

I recently had the chance to play on a friend's Switch and they didn't fix it at all. All the lag I've noticed on the trailer is there even on every gameplay that has been uploaded to KZbin. You can do the audio latency test by comparing the N64 footage with the Switch footage at the moment Mario jumps simultaneously on both clips.

PerKimba my tv I found out actually has a setting that is turned on that fixes audio delay like you mentioned above. That is why I did not notice the delay. If I was to turn it off, I am sure I would hear the delay, but why wound I? It sounds perfect with the setting enabled.

@@marvalcomicsfan123 Digital TVs have nothing to do with this issue at all. Even if the TV "fixes" the issue in this specific context, it only adds input lag to the image itself, which is not a good idea at all because you're outputting the audio before the image and therefore it's unsynced [Assuming the audio is synced with the correct frames in real terms instead of emulation terms]. When I did the experiment I used the in-game footage and compared it with an N64 recording from my RCA capture device and my Sony Trinitron CRT TV [Fully analog TVs are known for being the best solution for retro gaming with zero lag]. Again, you can repeat this experiment by making Mario jump on both the N64 console [Use a non-HD CRT TV] and the Switch console simultaneously [Use your Switch screen directly, not your digital TV because all the digital processing will add input lag and inaccuracy to the experiment]. You will notice Mario screaming on Switch over 100 ms after he already did on the N64 depending on the audio buffering status during emulation.

PerKimba is it the emulator causing the audio delay, or is it the digital frames of it that is causing the delay?
@perkimba83694 жыл бұрын
@@marvalcomicsfan123 The audio delay is directly caused by the built-in emulator. However, it would be nice if Nintendo eventually updates the emulators in order to mitigate the audio buffering thing and fix some minor bugs that have been found in the graphics on the 3 titles. Considering they're getting tons of money out of this edition I think they'll dedicate some time to improve the emulators.
