No need to wait for the switch port, you can use cemu to play it in more than 4k 60Fps. Not only SM3DW, all of the wii u games are working 100% in 4K 60Fps with online!! Like the legend of zelda: breath of the wild.

I was maybe 33 when I beat this game 100%. It totally took me back to my childhood. I felt so accomplished beating literally every single level including the last 3 insanely hard ones with all the characters. I felt like a kid again. In a few years, when my kid is old enough, we're totally playing through this.

My 8-year-old and I played through this early last year and we were stuck on this level alone for a week or two. It was tense, but I'd rather teach us both to do this blindfolded than to attempt Champion's Road again. That is the most difficult level in any mainline Mario game and the only one to this day that I haven't completed. Holy shit.

The talk at the beginning reminded me of when I was a kid and neither dad or I could beat Super Mario 2, 3, or World alone. We could both get to the final stage but I couldn't get through it to the final boss, while dad could get throgh but couldn't beat the boss so eventually we settled on him getting us to the boss room then letting me take over.
