Love this game it's a true classic. I have to admit to liking the DS version more simply because it had a few more levels & plus the mini games too. But I still love the Original Super Mario 64 & The DS version of Mario 64. I still have my old Nintendo64 and the original game too. Never had the heart to just ditch it.. Still love playing the game. I wish Nintendo would make an more updated version of the game. Where it's the same game but with better graphics yet keeping it the same game. Making it work on all Nintendo consoles such as the Wii, Wii U, 3DS etc etc. It's a classic game. Completed this game millions of times & still love playing this game.

Fun fact: I owned at least 3 DS phats in the past ten years (not counting other models) 1) This one had a power switch/fuse problem so it had to be traded back for a new one and for free. 2) This second one had a broken hinge inbetween the 2 screens, when Loopy's DS capture mod got announced I had to get a good replacement. 3) This replacement was bought from ebay in good condition. It was sent over to Loopy from America and got modified with Direct Feed DS recording.

Believe it or not...but it's possibly for Yoshi to defeat the Eyehand boss! If you lose the hat and go into the fight, you can use the running slide to harm the boss. It makes the fight tougher obviously. But I actually won it as Yoshi.

That's pretty pointless because: A) The game only runs at 60fps for main menu, file select and star select. 99.5% of gameplay runs at 30fps B) 2 years ago I didn't have good upload speed so a 480p was doable C) I don't have the original recording anymore.

The 1st time l sore this game was when my best friend was playing the game. I was still at school. I actually remember saving up and doing more chores. I actually did save up my own pocket money. But l didn't have the full amount for the game. Back in 1996 the games where about £60 - £70 . So l only l had £34 l remember my dad he actually got me the game. He knew how much l wanted this game back then. Of course l had to pay it back - which l did. So this game will always be special. As soon as this game came out on the DS - l actually rushed out especially for a DS and the game. Still love the game to this day.

Aliana Hernandez He's the slowest character out of all of them and the only character that jumps shorter than him is Wario. But Wario can do other more useful things than he can, which balances it out. And even then Mario and Luigi are both way superior because they're faster, they jump higher and they can use powerups. The only edge Yoshi have is his tounge, which really isn't very useful, especially since the game wasn't originally designed for it and whatever problem it may solve can also be solved in some other manner.

What do you mean? The controls in games back then were pretty awkward as well. Besides, the controls might be harder to get used to. But IMO, this version of 64 is way better than the original. Just like OoT and MM 3D.

GameAddict51 Not really, the controls in platforming games back then felt a lot better to me, probably because I grew up with them. To me the N64 version is a lot better than the DS version. For many reasons, from the way the game looks to the many fun to pull off glitches. The original has no limits to the amount of time you can spend on it if you get into speed running. The DS version had potential, (I liked the new level designs) but I wasn't a big fan of completely changing how I played the game because I'm forced to use new characters. I also wasn't a big fan of the game forcing you to play in a more linear style when it comes to getting the power stars. It has a completely different feel compared to the original. It's like they wanted a sequel, but didn't feel like making all new levels. As far as the remakes of OOT and MM I've only played the 3DS remake of OOT and I do think that one was an improvement, because it improved the game aesthetically while (for the most part) staying true to the original. But I'm not as into Zelda as I am games like Spyro and the older Marios.

Single star practice I use the other file but for near full game runs, I make a new file and do 75 stars practice or something similar.
