You know, I always wondered whether or not they used kanji for the dialog in Mario games. Since they're games children are going to be playing, I wasn't sure. And now I know...and if I really cared, this could be a good opportunity to test myself and actually pause it and try to read the Japanese...but I'm lazy, so I won't. There aren't a lot of Japanese versions of this game up on youtube, and you have some MAJOR skills, so super thanks for uploading! This was an interesting watch. ***** When the Japanese version came out, it didn't have some of the sounds that the U.S and PAL versions do. When Nintendo released a Japanese version that supported the rumble pack, the old sound from V1.0 Japanese version were replaced with the North America/Europe sounds, and the missing sounds were finally put into that Japanese release.

That's what I love about Mario Games. They may not look like it, but these games are competitive! They have tons of secrets and helpers to help Speedrunners who take their time learning the levels. That's true for almost every Mario game! I love that Nintendo took such a solid, simple concept and added so much to it.
