Here are some suggestions for future versions: You could probably change the lakitu cloud. Also, pixelated eyes that aren't circles would be cool too Changing the 3D models would be a wonderful detail as well. Perhaps even the removal of the highly compressed audio. (it's probably ruining my ability to hear things properly) I would be pretty impressed if you could do all of this as well as replacing both the music and sound effects. Also, I noticed that the screen "blinks" sometimes..

This was back when I had a crappy laptop, I think it's also caused by the default 4MB RAM mode (instead of 8) and the higher resolution output.

I know this is not finished, but this game does not look like an NES game. Well you do have the textures and the Mario model, but if You added more effort into this, it would seem like an NES game. If you added Sounds from the NES itself, this would look way better.

I did not make pack, It was created almost a decade ago back when texture mods still had many limitations (for e.g mario's vertex colours only allowed a limited number of colours, hence the weird brown look) I believe a more complete version of a NES-style pack was made for the recent PC port, but I haven't checked.
