One thing I've hated that almost every SM64 fan remaster did not look native at all and looked cheesy, but this is probably the closest to an actual remaster.

@@kerokerocola99This mod isn’t the most faithful to the original look of the game either, it infuses SM64 with the artistic sensibilities of newer Mario games. Doesn’t ruin the graphics or anything, they’re some of the best I’ve seen for SM64. I wish the people behind this would work with Render96, their graphical overhaul might be more technically advanced but artistically the execution can be shaky.

This looks like what happens when Super Mario 64 is ported into the GameCube with graphical improvements, especially I like how they added the stars in the bridge and the entrance in Peach's castle.

64Modder really is an up and coming talent. I think his design skills are awesome. I'm a huge fan of him updating the base Mario 64 levels, my only feedback would be to leave the moves the same. As that really is the charm of SM64.

This looks like if Mario 64 came out at the end of the N64 era using the Expansion Pak or was a GC launch title, either way I love late 90s, early 2000s game graphics so this is a win in my book.😮

It definitely takes inspiration from Galaxy, although I would like to see the small hedge area from DS make a return. Or maybe the Odyssey one in its place. Honestly, that's what I think Odyssey's Mushroom Kingdom should've been. Like how Galaxy took the N64 Castle Grounds and extended it into Toad Town, the Odyssey map should've taken Galaxy's Toad Town and put the new stuff on the other end of the Toad Town gate.

In the original game all stars refill health. 100 coin stars do after getting them and regular ones do after you jump out the painting
