Well, this is it. Today is my 15th birthday which is when my freshman year of high school starts. (by the time I wrote this) I completed the first game I’ve ever played which was New Super Mario Bros. Wii, something I’d never thought I’d accomplish. Not to mention the fact that Super Mario Bros. Wonder, my most anticipated game is close to being released. Not only that, but I’ve joined the Sonic and Kirby fandoms, as well as my interest being caught in some indie games like Pizza Tower and AntonBlast. And finally, Charles Martinet’s retirement from being Mario’s VA. It truly feels like a brand new phase of my whole life and I can’t be more thankful to everyone I love and everything I love for that, but for now, it’s time for me to *Jump Up In The Air* and enter this *New World* with *Endless Possibilities*

This song was already beautiful when it first came out, but it really hits different now that Charles Martinet is no longer the voice of Mario. He wasn’t the first Mario, but he’s definitely the definitive Mario, and the energy, warmth, and heart he brought to the role have become an amazing, indispensable part of the franchise. It’s sad that he won’t be in the franchise full time anymore, but I’m still glad he got to be Mario. Just as he’s thanked us for playing his games every game since 1996, I just wanted to say, on behalf of Mario fans everywhere: Thank you so much for being our Mario. We love you Charles. ❤️

There's something about this song that makes it unmatched by any other ending song. Even if I think the Super Mario World ending theme is a masterpiece there's just a feeling this one captures that no other could. I grew up in the nintendo wii era but a lot of the youtubers I watched were brought up in the n64 era so these games have a lot of significance for me. This song is somehow so cheerful yet sad at the same time and perfectly sums up the feeling of nostalgia. It's truly beautiful. Basically if this song doesn't play at my funeral I'm not coming

If this song isn't played at my funeral, I'm not coming either. Maybe towards the end as pictures of my life with credits listing my friends scroll across a screen.

It just feels.... right that in the Mario movie, Charles's final line in a Nintendo project is him proclaming that, "These are my boys!!" about Mario and Luigi. Thank you, Charles Martinet, for years of amazing games and stellar characters.

Well, it happened. Charles Martinet retired from his role as Mario. This was his very first role as the plumber. He'll be missed, but I wish him the best of luck as the "Super Mario Ambassador". His last 2 lines in his voice acting career was as Mario and Luigi's Father, saying, "These are my boys!" and as Giuseppe, a character based off of the original iteration of Mario, giving a hearty "Wahoo!" I only wish the best of luck to the future voice actors of Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi.

This song is dedicated to Charles Martinet, who has been the voice of Super Mario for over 30 years now. We love you and appreciate everything you've done! Wahoo! Thanks for everything you gave us Shaping how a generation played Memories of a fun times Making baddies have a rotten day Sports, adventures, even learning We remember thanks to what you've made We look back so fondly On your voice, o Martinet! We won't forget All the good times we've had Saving the princess Of Mushroom Land! Chorus: Charles Martinet, you're a legend! Hold the torch up high, we celebrate your career And even though an era comes to an end, All the hearts your voice has touched, Will still give a hearty cheer! You gave us endless inspiration For the fans growing up hearing you (Hearing you!) Go-karts and mansions you gave life So we'll never forget what much is true (And as our games continue) We'll remember what you gave us All the games that you voiced that we've played Spread the joy of a plumber For the dawn of a new day! Our lives would not be the same without you You showed us fun with the plumber crew Chorus (sung twice): Charles Martinet, you're a legend! Hold the torch up high, we celebrate your career And even though an era comes to an end, All the hearts your voice has touched, Will still give a hearty cheer! Thank you so much for making our games unforgettable! We wish you luck as our Super Mario Ambassador! On behalf of all the fans, we'd like to give you one last... *WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!* (Lyrics by: Juno Songs)
