Whether it's better than the sonic movie, there's a chance considering it looks like they are being more faithful by making it animated and in the Mario world, but we don't know yet. But, this is probably going to be the highest grossing video game movie of all time, I predict a quarter of a billion. Illumination can admittedly advertise pretty well, mix that with a popular IP and in come the fat stacks.

I understand that this isn’t the first time Luigi Mario got kidnapped by Bowser like Princess Peach and Mario Mario has to put his skills to the test (the first and only one in the 2010s being SM3DL) but it’s highly refreshing to see Mario ACTUALLY fight Bowser to save Luigi since I have always been more of a Luigi fan than a Peach fan, especially in early 21st Century Super Mario.
