I think the appearance of Bomb Mario is inspired by another well known NSMBW mod called "Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii". Where it brings back the hammer suit, which has a similar suit as this one. I recently played it a few months ago after seeing gameplay of it for YEARS.

7:30 I have actually played a really good Mario Maker clone called "Level Maker" and it is mostly better than Mario Maker
