SUPER MARIO BROS. THE LOST LEVELS - AMERICAN COMMERCIAL (1987) (FANMADE)

E se o Super Mario Bros 2 japonês tivesse lançado no ocidente antes da coletânia AllStars no SNES?
O "Snakey", inscrito do canal, me deu essa sugestão de fazer um "comercial perdido" desse game com animações e tudo que tem direito.
Obrigado Snakey, espero que goste!
As inspirações para esse projeto foram várias, mas principalmente esses dois comerciais aqui:

Utilizei o Adobe Animate, Photoshop, After Effects e Premiere.
Outra coisa: não criei tudo do zero não! A arte da capa do game que aparece no vídeo foi uma adaptação da arte do MushroomZeroArt!

Actually the difficulty had nothing to do with it getting cancelled. The reason it never got a US release is because he thought it was too much of a lazy rehash of the first game.

They should’ve given it to certain players who got a certain score and time from the first game and it would show who qualifies to be able to play this game. Similar to what Japan did with the Gold punch out cartridge. But I did hear some people boot legged the game in the 80s to distribute.

2 criticisms. 1. No one says Bros it’s Brothers 2. NES was not common in 80s lexicon. Everyone back then just called it Nintendo or Nintendo Entertainment System.

Great Retro animation footage! The "Lost Levels" logo was officially created for the American Super Mario All-stars commercial. Nintendo might have released it on NES but changed their plans. The first Earthbound game was translated, but not released until the Wii U Virtual Console in 2015.

I love how the desings are kinda based of the super show, also even though most ads like to spoil stuff, i wouldn't mind having a commercial showcase the poison mushrom so i don't get surprised XD I am glad the rest of the world got Lost levels in 1993, Might not be as hard as the original but it's my cup of tea.

Amazing work! Only thing that gave the illusion away was "Bros", it's not slang, it's an abbreviation of "brothers" with the period at the end, so it's pronounced "brothers", but I gotta applaud the effort to get the announcer vibe perfect, there!

Fun fact: Nintendo did consider releasing a cartridge version of Lost Levels as a limited run through Nintendo Power, but they scrapped it because they thought it would cause market confusion.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I enjoyed this game a lot. There was something about the new take on SMB1, the only game that I owned for 6 years, and the challenge of it. When I finally got to play it on SMA, what a game! I thought that when it came to the NES/SNES Mario games from SMB1 to SMW: each game got better!
