This year is the 30th anniversary of Mario who is the symbolic character of Nintendo.
To celebrate it, We made an music videos which recorded 30 years of Mario's history in cooperation with the about 40 Japanese creators.

And this is why Mario is regonized as the icon of the video game industry. Yes, Microsoft may have a lot of cool stuff on their consoles and games. Yes, Sony may have many things on their games and some of their mascots. But Nintendo saved the video game industry on the 80's; the Nintendo DS sold most consoles than any else; the NES is the second best console (besides PS2); Pokemon is one of the most important companies on Japan and the world; Zelda Ocarina of Time is one of the best video games of the world and Mario... Mario is a legend who gained a lot of fans all over the world. Mario became a really good friend with Sonic, his old mortal foe. Mario is more popular than Mickey. Everyone knows the first medley of the game and/or knows the Mushroom and Star from Mario games. Mario is simply the biggest video game character of all the time. I'm a Nintendo fanboy, but I have friends with PS3 and XBOX 360. In fact, I had a PS1 and XBOX when I was a kid before I had my Wii, so I know nostalgia isn't an excuse. Some games from Sony and Microsoft are awesome, but they will never pair the magic of Jumpman: the icon of the video game industry. Thank you, Shigeru Miyamoto, for all the happiness you gave me.

I understand that this was originally intended for the 25th anniversary, I remember watching this in 2011, funny how people showed up during the 30th anniversary from last year.

Nintega Dario 2011 was the 30th anniversary of Mario himself since he first appeared in Donkey Kong in 1981; that's what this video was made for. 2010 and 2015 were the 25th and 30th anniversaries of Super Mario Bros. (1985), since that was the game that set the standard for Mario's gameplay and aesthetics, among many other parts of its legacy.

SNES Fan 2 That must have been another video, because this one came out in 2011 (for the 30th anniversary of Mario's debut in Donkey Kong) and has never been altered or reuploaded by this original uploader. I know there are loads of Mario anniversary videos, including some official Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary ones from 2010, so it could've been one of those since they're often similar. Nintendo also reused the SMB 25th logo for the 30th in 2015 (they just changed the number) so that adds to the confusion.

This gets me every time. Especially 9:20 when Good Egg Galaxy starts playing and "Welcome to the Galaxy!" splashes on the screen and then at 11:00 when the story intro theme for Thousand Year Door starts and so beautifully transitions into the Yoshi's Island story theme. Those are my two favorite Mario games and two of my favorite video games of all time. This is, by far, the best medley I've ever heard and the video itself is so captivating that I always have to watch it all the way through every time. The way the bad guy music builds up near the end with Ashley's theme, the Airship theme, Smithy's battle themes, an incredible version of Bowser's Road and the Bowser boss battle theme from Galaxy then ends with the level clear music, Rainbow Road, the SMW/Mario 64 ending themes, Gusty Garden Galaxy and finally the Mario Bros ending theme is just SO good.
