Heck, I didn't know that if I got a stylish move while doing an attack marked as "Wonderful!" or "Excellent!" would give me more SP than by doing a "Nice!" attack. That's pretty neat.

Very interesting! I like the JP bonuses, but can't say I like the idea of the failed Stylishes being punished. I wonder if a TTYD "remaster" by fans existed, if it would change that.

So how does getting SP work for moves with multiple stylishes, does it apply the bonuses twice?

Good question. I didn't explicitly clarify it in the video, but it's in the original blog post; doing any number of Stylish commands counts the same as just doing 1. In the international versions (US/PAL), all Stylish commands consist of only one input, so hitting any of them gives you full credit, but in the JP version some attacks require a chain of inputs to count as one successful command. But in both versions, there are some attacks with multiple Stylishes (e.g. Hammer / Piercing Blow / Power Smash, Infatuate...) and hitting any of them gives full credit.

@@superdude11235 Doing more than 1 complete Stylish command will not earn you extra Star Power, but it will increase your audience slightly.

Neither; SP regen was tweaked a bunch across the board, lol. Planning on doing a TTYD Battle Bits post about it in the near-ish future.

So in general the JP version awards you less star power?

It awards you the same or more (unless the move doesn't have a Stylish). All that matters for the bonus is that you complete 1 Stylish command, but you might need to do multiple inputs to do that for some moves in the Japanese version.
