10:48 i like to think that because the megahammer robot was fighting over a black hole, its remains were sent to this galaxy when it was defeated, which can imply that mario doesnt get sent to some form of void or alternate universe when he falls in them, but he gets teleported to some uncharted galaxy, or at least a galaxy where he cant be tracked down to.

Usually i'm guessing when he quits the game, the lives reset at 3. That's what I thought.

When you quit this game, your lives counter is reset to 4 I believe, just like SM64
