One of the most tranquil galaxies ever. It's serene, graceful, yet so peaceful. It's quiet and meant to make you feel like you aren't alone. That even in the dark, and through your worries. That it'll be alright

I already left a joke comment here, but let’s be real now. Cosmic Cove might be the best Galaxy in the entire game as far as scheme fits for the game is concerned. The Super Mario series has always given extra treatment to underwater OSTs, making Galaxy and Galaxy 2’s orchestral transition a strong fit as is. But on top of that, you have one of the more open ended Galaxies at this point in the game so far, without taking away too much from the path-based progression of this game’s campaign. I don’t know how to explain this, but Cosmic Cove just *feels* like a Galaxy course, and I love that about it as a fan of water levels. Even the controls are pretty solid!

Slimy Spring in particular might be my favorite of the OSTs in 2. It’s such an atmospheric track and the haunting melody fits so well with the environment, peak performance

Man, nothing beat blissfully skating around this galaxy as a kid. No bills to pay, no jobs to work, not a care in the world. Wish I could go back sometimes :'(

I was 7 when this game came out and 14 years later this level has always stuck with me. It's hard to describe why but it's just such a different vibe to everything else in the game.
