I feel a bit akward for releasing this video for the third time, but I wanted to make a defenitive edition of this video, which everyone can be satisfied with, I also made a lot of versions of each world's theme, with and without seagulls. I also made versions of world 1 where the Green Stars theme is playing. Hopefully now everyone can enjoy these Gorgeous skyboxes the way they like them. But the sansation is even more then that. I am in aw of the game that i never want to loose the memories, experience and music of my childhood. If i would have gotten the opportunity too re-experiance the game again, i would't since the nostalgia should never get lost from me and my brother!

I've always fought and stood firm on my believe that Galaxy 2 is better than Galaxy. I hope that, at least, one person who gets to read this comment section in the future can relate to it.

I personally disagree with this, however, I absolutely respect the hell out of both games for their unique takes on the formula. While I love the gameplay additions of Galaxy 2, I think that 1 just holds this spot for its slightly more serious tone and more open design. Galaxy 1 struck this perfect balance of feeling open yet linear, that Galaxy 2 traded for a more "2D Mario" style to its level design (which, I should mention, is NOT a bad thing!). 1 also seems to focus heavily on the WONDER of space, while 2 seems to focus on how it can more be used in its level design while still being wonderous. I think both have aspects that make them good in their own right, and I do not think in the slightest that one is "objectively" better than the other.

@@Alphie_ I wholeheartedly agree! In fact, I personally think Galaxy 2 is better than the first one like OP does. The music, the level design, and the characters all feel more lively and fun to me. I would however definitely put Galaxy 1's map and progression system above Galaxy 2's, as it's a lot more open and better reflects the feel of space. Galaxy 2's green stars though... still probably my favorite post game content of any game EVER. I absolutely love the way they were implemented and the journey to getting them all. But, like you said, I can't say one is objectively better. They're both incredible masterpieces that are a core part of my childhood

This takes me back! I always think it’s funny how I can feel so happy in the moment, playing the game for the first time, platforming as Mario, collecting stars, unlocking Luigi! And then, many years later, feeling almost sad because of these memories, the ones that I can revisit any time, but never experience again… nostalgia truly is a beautiful thing! What a fantastic game that definitely needs more love!

Not to mention how it uses Good Egg Galaxy for the post 120 star theme for world 1. If I had a nickel for every wii game that has the Good Egg Galaxy theme hidden as a musical easter egg that you have to listen closely to find it, I'd have 2 nickels. I know that's not much, but it's neat that it's happened twice.

I find this the day after I 100% Super Mario Galaxy 2. The perfect run was not fun, but they did have great choice in music for it. Still, all 242 stars were a labor to get. And to have a nice reminder of the memories over the playthrough is nice. Good times... P.S. While I do recommend Galaxy 2, I should warn you that it's harder that the original Galaxy. So play the original first so you already have a full understanding of the mechanics, then go for it.

@@braziliantsar They're both excellent games but I think 2 is the much tighter experience. Especially when it comes to navigating levels. I'm nostalgic for the Observatory but it's such a pain in the ass to get around and doesn't have any secrets or things to discover like Peach's Castle or Delfino Plaza. Starship Mario is smaller yet somehow has more things to do in it than the Observatory, and it has a much easier system to jump into the levels. People get really hung up on the storybook in 1 as a reason as to why the game is better and sure, it's sweet, and it adds some depth to Rosalina. But it's entirely skippable and has no real bearing on the story. Aside from Bowser being more serious than usual (which doesn't really fit him, he works much better being a bit goofier like in Odyssey or Sunshine), the story is no different to any other Mario game.
