Basically, the way to make money in FF XIII is to sell the items that says they can be sold for a premium. So fighting enemies that drop those kind of items (which are few) are the way to make gil. Upgrading weapons only makes a little difference in stat boosts compared to the upgrades in the Crystarium. Weapons have the most use from their special properties. Also, a lot of the monsters at the Gran Pulse area aren't meant to be beaten till after you're able to warp back in the 13th chapter.

I ran into the same things you have NCS on Pulse. Getting my ass kicked by the behemoths and the other big things out there. Just keep going, and not to give to much spoiling away, you'll eventually come across a little robot, that if you fix up, gives you some good stuff to sell. At some point, you can do a mark mission, killing a adamantortoise(sp?), that you can have a high chance of getting a platinum ignot(150,000) and always get a gold nugget(60,000). That won't be for awhile though

I know some people have probably said something like this before me, but in FF13, some spoils are worth more gil than weapon exp. It's really worth checking both. Also, to use less items you really need to get the exp multiplier, some items boost that more than they boost exp, (I can't think of a good example, sorry) so if you get a good multiplier then use items that have a high exp increase, you end up using less and more items to sell!

I actually got a 95 on the same test as I mentioned before. The only thing I forgot was the 5th paragraph had little detail, but other than that, I had a lot of detail. Usually, if I write really fast in pen, somehow I tend to think harder and put lots of detail in things. It was also open notes, so that also made it easy.

You'll be able to make a lot of money when you able able to ride Chocobos. Just keep doing the missions and you'll unlock them at some point. As for not being able to kill things, Gran Pulse really pushes the difficulty up at first. Really need a lot of leveling of the main jobs to kill things easily for the majority. Believe me, I did some early grinding throughout the game, and had some weapons well upgraded, and the place pwned me quite well at first.

Tim, you should grind on Rangdas in a corner to get CP, and you shouldn't really bother buying stuff before end game, as you can kill the Adamantoises with Vanille's death, and they drop Platinum Ingots that sell for 150,000 gil and Trapozehedrons that can upgrade most weapons to level 3

So, yesterday I had a HUGE History test that involved restating factors that helped the Americans win the Revolutionary War, right? So, it was a 5 paragraph essay that needed to be written by the end of class. So, I wrote faster than I usually write, but it was neat. My arm hurt SO much after I wrote it 30 seconds before class ended. I was SO glad it was over, though because it has been hanging over my head for a week! Just wanted to share that information with you because I'm excited it's over.

AH. Spoiled about the baby chocobo. A good strategy for the carapaces is to get a commando with launch and two ravagers. I use Fang, Light, and Hope. Have Hope as a medic, Light as ravager and Fang as commando, until it's staggered, and then when it is your commando will launch it and it can't do anything as long as your ravagers are using magic.

In FF XIII, if you sell the components that aren't worth a lot of exp, you can buy stuff from Lenora's Garage for cheap, which give a lot more exp.

I was having the same problems in FFXIII. Just kill a lot of those wolf like things. Get used to a Fang Lightning Hope setup and get used to using Sentinel very often. Chapter 11 is MAJOR FARMING TIME. You want to finish all your leveling in your 3 main classes in chapter 11.

for FF13, some upgrade components are fairly useless, and you can sell them for a quite big amount of money. For example the incentive chips that a fair deal of humanoids drop. Farm those and sell them ;)
