When I first got the Switch, it was to play 3D All Stars. The first moments of Sunshine and Galaxy were so special, I still couldn’t believe it was me controlling Mario around Bianco Hills or Good Egg Galaxy. Galaxy was by far the more enjoyable experience, and Rosalina’s waltz is so beautifully matched to her character and presence onscreen. This makes the importance of Mario’s (or Luigi’s) quest feel for the first time in a Mario game as important to his universe as important as Link’s are to Hyrule. It also controls very seamlessly, which makes most missions very enjoyable, a higher percentage of them than either 64 or Sunshine.
