Super Mario Kart Special Cup 150cc

I recently picked up this game for the first time in about 20 years. My god, I forgot how insanely evil this game can be. There is almost zero room for error on 150cc, and especially in Special Cup. You lose so much time bouncing off walls and falling off the track. CPU players generate items faster than you and always conveniently right when you’re near them. CPU can jump over items, and you cannot. 2nd place always catches up at lightning speed if they fall behind. If you do fall off, you are 100% vulnerable to getting knocked off right when Lakitu releases you. Etc. I sometimes use up all my lives just on the 1st track!

Oh yeah, this game is crazy! The only reason why I was able to beat this is because I had tons of practice on a different emulator

You got that right, guys. I'm agreed with Stephen MacArthur and Nin Um Prequeno Gamer on this point. Those two was right. The AI of Super Mario Kart are complete unfair cheater computer player in Mario Kart history. Speaking of they can drive through twomps, those doesn't make any sense. But look at bright side, three good thing about no blue shell, pow or lightning ruining your chance win 1st place.

Recuerdo cuando yo tenía 15 años y jugaba sin parar a 'Super Mario Kart' en mi SNES, y también recuerdo cuando conseguí ganar la copa especial de 150cc. Fue la única vez que lo conseguí :P Hoy ya tengo 41 años y me encanta ver que gente más joven sigue jugando y pasándoselo genial con este juego. Yo aún conservo mi SNES y el cartucho de 'Super Mario Kart' en perfecto estado. ¡Y áun sigo jugándolo! Gracias por hacerme recordar un pedacito de mi adolescencia, que tan buenos momentos me hizo pasar junto con Mario.

Like seriously I've been stuck on this fucking cup for years, and no matter how crafty I get, I'm no match for "Super Mario Kart's" uncontrolable driving physics, and overpowered malicious CPU's. And the one time where I actually made it to Rainbow Road, the game gave up and glitched out.

Out of all the Special cup videos I've seen, this one is my favorite. It's more realistic. Those who have played special cup 150cc go through this pain and so much more. Thanks for bringing back the nostalgic and painful memories of special cup. I miss the 90s so much.

Very nice video and skill! The SNES was my childhood. I liked to drive with Toad because he has better handling. With practice it's possible to win Rainbow Road with more than half a lap before the second! I think DP3 is the hardest track of the game.

The way the cpus CHEAT so openly in the 150cc of races is unreal. Bust out as many bananas, shells, and starmans as possible along with how narrow the courses are as it is ans the slippery controls

Lmao idk about this shit, I've played this game since I was 12 lol and now play it with my boy daily lol this seems little off haha and 150cc is easy it's just bs how comp has unlimited power ups and when you bump the comp in the lava or jumps they get put back on the track instantly 😂😂 and they pass 6 people in like 5 seconds lol me and my boy always try to mess up the person that's in 3rd lol like on mushroom cup last level at the speed jump lol lay a shell at the jump where you know the comp drives and they miss the jump 😂 150cc special cup first level is complete bs tho you can't mess up lol
